I've had my note 8 for 2 years, I had auto update turned off for at least a year, I decided to update my phone and I'm finding it to be a bit slower and want things back to how they were.

I think I would of been on android oreo?, is it possible to go back to this,

Thanks

If you updated to the latest PIE then the answer is "NO"!

What firmware are you on?

Type in dialer *#1234# and you'll notice there is 4 lines. What does the AP: line say? (eg, N950FXXS8DSK5).

If you are on N950FXXS"8"DSK5 or N950FXXS"6, 7, 8"D.... then it's a big NO. Basically the 5th number spot before the letter "D" is the important number, that number can only go up it can NOT go down because of its bootloader version it uses.

Oreo stopped at N950FXXS5.... and the bootloader of N950XXS"6,7,8"D.... won't allow itself to be downgraded to lower versions.

You might want to BACKUP your phone and do a factory reset to see if things will speed up. Sometimes OS changes can get phone corrupted.
