So I loaned my phone to my brother for a week, who decided to "help me out" and flash a new ROM onto my SG2 since the SKYICS I was running apparently wasn't the latest and greatest. He tells me that he used an AOKP ROM from the i9100 forum, but I wouldn't know as it now fails to boot. The battery is fully charged, but I get nothing from it...no recovery, no download mode, not even a backlit black screen.

So before I toss this thing, is it recoverable at all? If not, is anyone interested in picking it up for parts? Besides the whole no booting thing, it's in excellent shape ;p

Well it sounds like you have a skyrocket so why dont you head on over to the i727 section? Also yell at your brother. He flashed a rom that was definitely not for your phone, on your phone. Or if it is a cover up yell at yourself :p.

Oh hell....didn't even realize that I was in the wrong section :p and no, unfortunately no cover up. I'm a big boy, if I bricked it myself I'd own up to it >.<
