Is it safe to use the U.S. Unlocked ROM to upgrade my unlocked Asian U11?

Is it safe to flash the official US unlocked HTC U11 ROM to my Asian unlocked HTC U11 ( 6 gb RAM/128 gb internal)?

Nope. It won't flash anyway.

Yes, you were right. I tried and it just won't flash. The update does not recognize my U11 even if connected to my PC. I guess my only way to update is to wait for the official OTA when my turn comes unless anyone has a better suggestion...

I was able to flash my HTC U11 to Oreo via SDcard method using the OTA update from this link:

I noticed after flashing and doing a full phone reset the phone encrypts itself. Is phone encryption a standard for the HTC U11 Oreo update? Is there anyway to disable this?
