Is it worth getting a pixel 2 for the camera or is the note 8 with mods as good?

I've have the note 8, pixel 2 xl and iPhone x, I have to say the iPhone x camera was my least favorite and the pixel 2 xl was just slightly ahead of the note 8, but not enough to make it a deciding factor in which phone I kept, which was the note 8 all other phones returned for various reasons.

A phone is so much more than a camera. Even the crappy is camera on any phone is good enough camera for me. I might take a picture once a month and don't care what it looks like. The camera is last on the list for me. Could care less. Size, looks, Ram, storage, display, battery, speed etc. Is all before the camera.
