Ok, I'm on my 5th GNEX (Verizon) because of dropped signal issues. I keep getting a .10 version and am tired of trying to get a .09 version (the .09 versions do not seem to suffer from the dropped signal issues). So, I've decided to buy a .09 version from the web.
My question is this...are the device warranties tied to the phone's serial number, or to me? In other words, say my current phone serial number is 123456789 and I purchase a new one with serial number 987654321. Say that second phone craps out...am I still covered under warranty because my original warranty hasn't expired? Or will they check the serial number against their database to see if that particular phone is still under warranty?
