Is possible to root Xoom MZ601 4.0.4 with locked bootloader?

I want to root my xoom , but I have apps's data and games's data that can't be backup. Unlocking bootloader will delete everything. Have way to root without unlocking?

Guide for galaxy nexus but should work for any device on 4.0+.

Basically adb backup -all

Then unlock/root and restore the backup with adb

You'll need to manually install the apps first as it only backs up data. The play store can do this for you if your device is set to be backed up to their servers.
