Yes.

I just tested it like this:

Switch off Bluetooth on watch.

Switch off LTE on watch.

Open dialler on watch and make call.

Watch connects to phone remotely by WiFi and makes call successfully.
The watch 5 pro has reached me. I bought it from England because LTE model is not sold in my country. BT and LTE Off wifi on I can't make calls. How can you make calls over wifi?

I got it from a post on the official forum. Devices for Wi-Fi calling should appear here. Oddly enough, the connected devices don't show up for me or for you. but I don't understand how wifi calling works for you.

did anyone get it to see the watch 5 here? on "linked devices"?

i did multiple times a factory reset - without restoring a backup and deleted the wearables app. but i am not apple to get the watch 5 pro lite listed here. however, any kind of remote control works in terms of getting and seeing whatsapp messages or mails.

There is no remote connection on any samsung watch devices that end in LTE. It connects remotely, messages, etc., call notification comes, but it is not possible to talk remotely with the watch. Only bluetooth is possible. Biggest loss of LTE models

oh ok. because i have a 2nd sim card in my s22 ultra and changed the number in "calls / sms on other devices".

the ideal case would have been: lte on the smartwatch for my 1st number and getting calls on my smartwatch from my 2nd number via remote control and "calls / sms on other devices".

So...to make a long story short. LTE version, when connected remotely via mobile network only, cannot receive or make calls to/from your mobile phone number? Does it at least receive missed calls notifications? In that case I can at least be aware of the missed calls and call back on my watch number.
I am on Huawei phone and even receiving notifications (missed call ones don't work) from the phone when remotely connected is sketchy. Can you confirm that messages and notifications work flawlessly when connected remotely with Samsung phone? I am tempted to change the phone to Samsung if that means I can easily be out of phone's reach and still be connected (albeit voice call via mobile number excluded)

For calls to work via remote connection you must have a Samsung phone, it wont work with any other brand. I have Galaxy Watch 5 Lte and Poco X3 phone, i receive the sms and gmail notifications when i'm away from the phone and the Watch is on LTE, but nothing related to calls. If you don't want to buy a Samsung phone you could Call Forward the calls from the Calls(Phone) settings on your phone to the number of the Watch esim (understanding that you have a different number on the Watch esim than your Phone's number).

What I can also add is that the Watch 5 Lte automatically connects to cellular when the bluetooth connection with the Phone is lost, it takes less than 30 seconds for the Watch to activate its cellular connection.
(I have different lines on each device because my carrier doesn't support using the same line on the phone and the watch).

Hello everyone. My English is so bad I get help from google translate sorry.

I am currently using watch3 lte and it is not possible to make calls over wifi because there is no Remote connection. I would like to ask those who use Watch5 lte, is there a Remote connection over wifi?
Has anyone managed to turn on wifi search on the watch3 LTE model?
Hi,

No, you can't make CALLS while Bluetooth is disconnected, even if the WIFI is connected, and even if using the SAME WIFI.

Without Bluetooth and with WIFI ON, you can get notifications & send SMS, BUT no CALLS.

Eventhough, Samsung says that with the REMOTE-Connection feature you can make calls.

When I try to call from my WATCH without Bluetooth it shows "Connect Bluetooth first".

Did anyone succeeded in making a call from the watch while BLUETOOTH is OFF?

    I don't know.

There is only on or off for WiFi no auto connection.

The only way I have been able to get WiFi to connect remotely is to turn off Bluetooth.

Yes you can remote connect via WiFi and LTE on the Watch 5 Pro but the process is currently far from automatic.

Currently it seems you need to turn off Bluetooth on the watch and possibly even manually select the WiFi network before it will remotely connect. Once it has remotely connected it will maintain that connection via LTE if WiFi drops. It does not seem to initiate remote connection via LTE alone. None of this can be intended functionaiity, as in it should all happen seemlessly.
