Is there any adhoc patch for Defy?

It's so inconvenient that Defy cannot connect to an adhoc network. Is there any patch for defy? There's such patches for Desire and I9000.

The key file is wpa_supplicant.

I am on the latest ChinaRetail Android 2.2.2, and it's sitll not working.
Using XDA App to download your wpa_supplicant? I never use that app.
Who can post your working wpa_supplicant here? Thanks.

Are you using the same? will be great if you can post your wpa_supplicant file here.
Basically I need to be able to use internet if shared via ad-hoc network from my laptop.

BTW, I tried all the patches of wpa_supplicant given in this thread as well: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=755254but the wifi just can't search for any network and it turns off itself.
Check out webvan's post from page 4 or 5 onwards, he tried these files on his milestone and failed.

Any help regarding this matter would be great.
