Is there different ways to make packages for roms?

I have been using alex's cooking kit to make packages for my custome roms, but theres been an issue latley giving me errors and unresponcive programs... Like throotle launcher, tflo3d and many mods for throttle launcher... Would anyone care to teach me some stuff on making packages for roms correctly?

I use the kaiserkitchen.cmd and select 'p' option, have noticed that with cetain programs you have to edit initflashfiles.txt to get them to install to the right place.Hope This Helps
