Is this a Hardware or Software fault

The missuss tablet (SM-P900) stopped working.
When you first power up the device the screen is corrupted, the next screens are fine until it reboots and gets stuck on the samsung logo where there is some corruption again.

If I boot into the download menu ( pwr &vol- ) that is all corrupted but if I boot into the recovery menu (PWR & vol+ ) that is totally fine.
Ive tried a factory reset from the recovery menu and that kept resetting at vaious stages until it finally finished but will not go past intial setup without errors

If it was a PC iwould say memory or video card fault. I have not much experiance with tablets, so any help much appreciated.

loads of views , anyone have an opinion or seen this before.
I know its an old tablet.
But this sort of coruption indicate a hardware fault ?

If it was mine, I'd open it and check all connections of the cables.
If this doesn't help I'd sell it for parts.
