Is your RAM usage as ridiculous as mine?

My RAM is almost always at around 1.5 GB (out of 2) and while this wouldn't bother me normally, since RAM is supposed to be used and all, it's affecting my multi tasking a LOT.

For instance, if I open 3 or 4 tabs in Chrome, switch to another small app (like whatsapp, or play music) and switch back to chrome, most of my tabs refresh as they're not stored in memory. Right now, I was listening to a voice note from someone on whatsapp and swithed to chrome and the voice note stopped playing after 5 seconds (It's supposed to run in the background).

I had a Nexus 4 with 2 GB of RAM before this and I NEVER once had issues with RAM. Is this normal for you all?

Clear your cache, Turn Off Moto Gestures(If u want to but it saves a lot), Turn Off 'Double click power button for camera' and reboot the device.

......USE GREENIFY TO HIBERNATE APPS.....

If u seriously want to save a lot of ram and battery just switch of daydreaming remove fingerprint lock instead put a pattern or pin.....and as the guy earlier said turn of moto gestures..... That shld atleast bring the consumption to as low as 800mb

Apparently I just needed to restart my phone. Hadn't done it in 2 weeks. Fixed the issue for now.

Why Android os is using to much ram????, I am using Own Rom & Using WiFi Only Does It Affect Ram???
It's Linux, Windows. That's why you can immediately open apps, cause they stored in ram while on windows they are loaded every time you open the program. On Linux they get suspended in ram while not in use instead of killed.

Please do a little bit research about this topic i explained if you need more information.
