So SR4 came before SR3?

I did flash SR3 and I still don't have root :(

Edit: Here's a screen shot
I can't help but facepalm at this...
I would go out and say if you can't notice the difference between the two and know 2.79-SR3 is newer then you don't need to root in the first place as you might brick your device.

I have had to manually install the SU app from the store also on a couple of occasions.

Everyone makes mistakes and I'm sure everyone has read something and saw another, proceeded to get a little fustrated which distracts you from seeing what's in front of you correctly. Thank you for your concern but this post isn't very helpful.

If the device bricks then I will figure out how to fix it. It will leave me more knowledgeable with the device and how to resolve different issues. Who knows, maybe I'll start to have some answers for other users who post their problems!

Please read what these guys are telling you 2.79 (NINE not EIGHT) SR3 is the newest build.

In your screen shot you are flashing 2.78(EIGHT) SR3

2.78 SR1
2.78 SR2
2.78 SR3 <---- You are flashing this
2.78 SR4 <----You are flashing this

2.79 SR1
2.79 SR2
2.79 SR3 <---- You should be flashing this right here..

Search for chainfire on Google plus. the forum here is not up to date

Edit: Nevermind, you figured it out.

:good: That's good advice, thank you.

Yeah you can't really knock users making mistakes when the OP for a very important aspect of all this is horribly outdated. The funny thing is that SuperSu updates his Google plus but chain fire doesn't provide support there. If anything the thread should redirect to another page that lists the most up to date build instead of listing versions in the OP but not updating.
