Issue: Missing prediction bar in HTML multirow text areas - what is the cause?

Hi,

strange reproducable issue - steps (using Android 4.0.2):

1. Use stock browser or Dolphin Browser HD
2. Use one of these keyboards

- Stock ICS keyboard
- SwiftKey
- Adaptxt Beta
- A.I. type keyboard
- Thumb Keyboard

3. Type in a HTML multirow text area, e.g. the posting text area in this forum.
Other example page - field "comments": http://edition.cnn.com/feedback/show/?s=cnnhomepage

Result: The predictins bar does NOT show up.

What is the cause for this issue? Does it belong to the keyboards, the browsers or Android 4.0.2 ?

The issue does not occur when using just only one of these:
- Android 2.3.x
- Opera or Chrome beta browser (with every keyboard)
- keyboard like Smart Keyboard, Perfect Keyboard, SlideIT (with every browser)

It's strange. So who's the one to fix it? Developers of the browsers or developers of the keyboards?

It may not work on browser pages? Not sure.

Not generally browser pages, but multirow text areas in browser pages. This is reproducable with the apps mentioned above.
