Issues with GiONEE E7

no solution

simply install GO LAUNCHER and make it default and the issue is solved.

because the thing is this Amigo 2.0 makes a chipset like snapdragon 800 and 3 gb RAm on their knees well its hard to argue about changing the ways of this UI yes sometimes the default keyboard pops up well only way is switch it again via notification panel well not the Answer you need but this is how it is sorry mate ....As Gionee peoples confirmed that they provide KITKAT update next month we can hope aroud 15 to 20% improvement in processing ,fingers crossed..................

1) there is no customization option in sound profiles
2)I get msg notification only when i open my Whatsapp otherwise no.
3) I have a different keyboard but sometimes the default keyboard appears...
Can anyone specially @NHS2008 have a solution pls

Hey brother, when we clear whatsapp from recent, it kills the application.
thus to receive the notifications, you need to keep it running in the recent applications and not clear it off.

Issues with gionee

Hi fellas,

I found few issues with my gionee (32gb Indian version)

1. The wifi does connect, but internet not working. Im using Wifi-fixer app, which resolves the problem.
But a third party app running always in background is waste of resource

2.The sunlight readability is awful (cant help )

Apart from that im extremely happy with the device

is there any other user facing the same wifi problem ?

Also, the i keep missing the back capacitive button. the active button area is so tiny and placed awkwardly.

Is there a way to activate on screen button ? does it require root ?
Any help would be appreciated.

I have these following issues with the phone

1) Slide down to answer
--- Slide down to answer is so annoying from HTC Desire Sense days
---- When ever you pull your phone from the pocket the call gets answered and if you put it the opposite way it gets rejected
---- the only workaround i found is to use an app that replaces the incoming call screen (but the app is quite annoying and is the only such kind of app in the play store it is called Ultimate Caller ID Screen HD)

2) Camera app
--- This app seems to suck lot of power from the battery even if i use the camera app for few minutes it stays on top of the battery usage List

3) Whats app problem
--- as others in the forum are discussing i have the whatsapp notification problem few times I have used buzz launcher instead of default launcher but it didnt go away and i have to open whatsapp to see notifications

If anyone have any ideas on resolving these issues please let me know

No Google Apps

I have E7 32gb Version, there are no Google Apps like Gmail, Google Music, Play store or anything related to Google in the Stock Rom. I install the Playstore manually but that doesn't work. Am I the only one who is experiencing this issue ?

if data connection is on that case if sm1 mks me a call it said out of coverage.

if data connection is on E7 mostly when 2G in that case if someone makes me a call it said out of coverage area....
and battery doesn't work good enough even not for a single day...
whatsapp kill automatically...

when I am on a call some options open jst by touching my ear only...
kabhi kabhi pocket me bhi phone unlock ho kr apne aap hi koi application on ho jaati hai....
plz help....

Yeah the camera app eats lot of battery, and for whatsapp i have mentioned elsewhere also, Go to Power manager, then power settings and uncheck the 'sync off' option and you are done, tried and tested.

Hi, I had the same problem, sometimes Wifi would work and sometimes it just woudn't, I made a hard reset and now it's working, but had to do it several times until it finally worked. Hope it helps you.

3G issues - Agreed

Guys need serious help from u all !!
I bought Elife e7 yesterday, facing following issues

1. I am unable to download a single app from playstore.
2. The phone calling volume is very low.
3. 3G internet speed is as compare to 2G

3G issues with Gionee. I changed my sim to a samsung and i don't see issues out there.
This is a big struggle considering I'm constantly on Ingress

changes

trying new kitkat for a few days here are changes what i observed
O) sound quality has definitely improved (in comparison with nori os)
O) camera quality has got a little poor.
O) keyboard lag removed.
O) can charge at 1200 mil amp instead of 1000
O) led config is changed but lightflow still doesnt work though you can manually set led color by editing brightness
thats all i have noticed till yet please post what you guys have noticed

Apart from these I have noticed xposed framework not getting installed. I'll get msg as in screen shot ..all the time after installing. Any solution.
