Just checked again and it immediately said to reboot to finish update, after reboot, Jan 1st showing and won't find any other updates
Yep, there's another update this morning. (am already on January prior to the update) It already downloaded automatically, so not sure about the size. I restart, and of course it still on Jan. But i got ton of google's app update (Carrier Services, Device Policy, Intelligence, etc) from playstore after that.

Got another 64MB update today and finally on January! These Play System updates are definitely weird...
After the 5 updates I got I received another 3 of them and now I'm also on January 1. What a bad update system, 8 different updates with all different sizes to reach play services jan 1 state.
And I already was on the Android 13 January version and the January 5 Security update.
Is Google loosing it?

I also received at least 3 Play updates, and I decided to sideload the Android update. I wish "they" would just combine them into ONE monthly update! I have no idea why this time everything came in pieces. But everything seems to work OK for me! YMMV
The latest beta 3 fixed the issue for me had to reboot device twice. But now I got the January update finally installed.

How am I not getting all these updates?? Mine took one a few days ago and that was it and it shows January 1st
Keep hitting the google play system button in the settings. I just checked again, finally nothing comes in...

Sometimes it automatically downloaded and only ask you to restart.
Today both of my Pixel and Aquos got another update :
This isn't why I manually update my phone - but doing so never leaves me an update or Play Store update behind. I've had the Play Store update since the 3rd. Now, I'm waiting for the general February update =D.
But anyway, what's the stink with the January Play Store update? Did the January update do something to the Play Store that is beneficial? I don't understand what the hubbub is about and am looking for a little clarification =).

I'm totally flabbergasted by the sheer amount of updates coming in. After 7 January updates nr. 8 just came in automatically, promting me to restart. And then I checked manually and nr. 9 introduced itself. Wtf!

I guess a large number of Play System updates were blocked somehow and got unblocked. Ssame thing happened to me (my phone was stuck on August 2022)

So then I would say you did not get the January update. I just pulled an "update" as well, it showed as 733kb not the 64MB that the January update is supposed to be.....rebooted, and now I have a 7.6kB download, still shows November......jeez, slow rolling like I said.....GL!1
