I had this problem too, you need to boot into recovery, wipe battery stats and reboot. Download 'Battery Calibration' app from market, charge phone to 100% and leave charging for 1.5 hours later and launch the battery calibration. Hit calibrate, allow permission when prompted, and your battery will be calibrated. It worked fine for my, my milestone 2 lasts longer now.
Thanks for sharing the tip. Another tip that reduce battery consumption without degrading performance for root phone is to run CPU tuner at simple and powerful profile. The app will throttle CPU speed between 300mhz to 1000mhz depending on the CPU load, screen on/off.

i dont use the default alarm, use other app, but when low battery warning appear the alarm ring too and wake me up
are you using the default alarm?

mine is alarmdroid
Thanks for the response. I'm using the default alarm app.

I think, I will consider the alarmdroid or some other alternative. I will also be sure, that my M2 have enough of battery.

I really rely to M2, when it comes to alarm clock, since it is my only alarm clock I'm using :)

Since the last update I've been getting lots of reboots randomly. First was using the web browser then a few times playing fish ninja. Not happened before the last update. Seems to be doing ok now but thought it would be useful to say :)

So I have a quick question on this procedure. Is it typical for the initial "calibration" to be way off?

So basically I charged my phone up overnight with it switched off. While it was still plugged in I turned it on and installed "BatteryCalibration" by marosige. I then rebooted into recovery and wiped the battery stats. Once I rebooted I then ran the battery calibration.

So now I am waiting for my battery to drain. What is odd is that for the last hour it has sat at 1%. Is this normal? Did I do this right? Should I wait for it to completely die before I recharge?

It has been on for roughly 9 hours with normal (at least to me) usage. GPS was in use for about an hour this morning and WiFi was on and in use for at least 5 of those hours. Battery life seems pretty good to me. I am overclocked to 1.2 GHz using the performance governor.

I think the battstats is malfunctioning. for me, sometimes it jumps down from 70+ to 50, 40+ to 20-ish, and stays at 1% for hours before the battery dies out

Hi all, I found the battery is really unstable. I used the battery to a really low level around 3% and I turned it off. Plug in the wall charger and it displays 54% and charging. (Another time I tried is 33%)

It sounds like the battery is not really used up. I thought this problem may related to overclocking as the battery level is determined by the voltage. The cpu overclocking requires higher voltage to operate.

I'm running it with British 2.3.4 GB and 08.09 version (I think), I've long time no upgraded my ROM:D

Thank tezet and everyone else.

Freaking wipe battery stats in recovery, download battery calibration, charge till 100% and leave for at least 1.5 hours after that and then launch the app, allow permission and have fun with your new improved battery life.

when your battery is charged to 100% android replaces batterystats.bin for a new one, that is the reason why the battery usage items gets wiped everytime you disconnect your phone from charger when its @ 100%.

Full charge = new battery stats, so wiping battery stats is useless, you can search xda for more info.

Reasons why I say to do ****

The reason I say to wipe the battery stats is because there might be corrupted batterystats already existing. I aint sure bout the whole auto wipe ****, so thats why I take it the safe way.
