Updated the kernel to version 0.341

-linux v3.0.86->3.0.89
-CWM v6.0.3.3->6.0.3.5 (amongst others: power off moved to advanced menu, removed fix permissions)

download:
http://rootaxbox.no-ip.org/kasper_h/kernels/JB42/

I will build a new Mackay ROM with this kernel included soon.

BTW, I have been reading on JB4.3. Sounds interesting, without many issues. Will probably download the code soon. But from the transition period of JB4.1->JB4.2 in which I build for both version, I learned this is not a good idea. So when I switch to JB4.3, it will mean the end of JB4.2 development, so I can focus the limited amount of time I have on a single ROM version.

JB4.3 is already perfectly usable as a daily ROM, at least CM10.2 is. So I'm looking forward to testing your kernel.

Does it fix the lag issues? I had some lags with 0.335 version (TWRP).

What's about the Bluetooth stack on 4.3? Same as in 4.2.x or further developed?

Edit:

Not further needed?
'Fix permissions' did help me sometimes if installed apps could not be deinstalled!?

Don't know about the bluetooth stack, I hope it is similar but better :)

It was an upstream CM decision to remove fix permissions, as it is said to be placebo. I also never found it really solved something....

I just build my first JB4.3 kernel. I can't flash it right now (still running JB4.2 and I need my phone to work well today - so no flashing). If someone is already running CM10.2 and want to test already, please send me a pm :)

Hi Kasper,
I'm sure that you will spend your time to send this kernel around the world,
Greetings,

I think we need newer bigmem libs for jb43
we= me & other who wanna bigmem running in jb43 ;)

Already found this out, yes. Compiling a full ROM now and then the bigmem libs.

Anyways, I am currently building Carbon-Mackay - so a ROM based on Carbon ROM, in stead of CM-10.2 (although they share a lot). Carbon is richer in features, and I have been running a Carbon JB4.2 based ROM for the last weeks without a single crash/FC.

Just like for CM9&CM10, I started making a CM10.1 kernels. The philosophy is the same: stock plus a few extras

This kernel is based on my CM10 Mackay kernel.

If you like a CM10.1-based ROM with the Mackay kernel included, there is also Mackay ROM:
    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2024269

Thanks to all SGS-CM-kernel developers (pawitp, stratosk, DerTeufel, Glitch, mialwe, krarvind) , I learned a lot from all of you!

Changelog 0.399 compared to previous release (0.341)
    -Final build for JB4.2

On 2.7.0+ Mackay ROMs, BLN/recovery/navbar can be activated in Mackay settings*

On other roms, install the kernel, reboot, open /data/local/mackay/bln/recovery/navbar and change the 0 for 1. Then reboot:
bln (set to 1) BLN will be activated
recovery (set to 1) CWM will be activated
navbar (set to 1) navbar will be activated
As an alternative, Bejda developed a script for Mackay settings:

This is a freshly started project. Ideas for improvements/additions are welcome but:
    1. I try to stay close to stock
    2. The time I spend on features depends on how much I like them myself

    Credits:
-teamhacksung/pawitp for making CyanogenMod work on our ancient phone
-stratosk/DerTeufel/Mialwe for the inspiration I got from their kernels
-rootax for providing a high-speed server for high quality downloads

Download (TWO flavours can be download: CMC=CM stock colour or VC=Voodoo Colour :)):

For those who want to theme it even further, Bejda made a Mackay splash screen!

For those who want to theme TWRP (or simply get rid of the orange ;)), erpurohit made a TWRP theme:
    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2262937

This version can only be used on JB4.2-based ROMs

    FAQ
    Q. I can't change governor in NStools (or any similar app)
    A. Go to recovery, mount data & datadata partition, then fix permission. You can also install the fix permissions app to this for you: http://bit.ly/YxPgLD

    Q. Process x (e.g. mediaserver/phone) is eating 50+% of my battery, what should I do?
    A. Go to settings>apps>all and find the app which is causing the battery drain. Then delete app data and reboot phone. If it does not help, you can combine this step with clearing dalvik cache.
