Thanks for your feedback! :)

I'm not sure if those are real bugs or if they depend on the individual installation. To double check, please install CM10.2 + minimal gapps from TJKF after a full wipe, if you've not already done so.
A short feedback to your list from my point of view:

  • Search button and custom actions are working on my Defy+. From what I read on the forums, there are just a few people with problems.
  • I don't use BetterBatteryStats or something similar at the moment. Can anybode else tell if BBS works OK or not?
  • Battery is working fine here, I have just the typical ~55 - 50 % drop every now and then. Be sure that you keep your Defy on the charger for about one more hour when it already says that it's at 100% because this makes sure that the battery is really fully charged.
  • With CM10.2 I don't get random reboots anymore (with 08-01's nightly I had an uptime of 14+ days before I made a manual reboot for installing something), while with CM10 and CM10.1 I usually never got past 2-5 days without random reboots or problems. That's why I really like this CM10.2 so much! :)
For me, BBS never gave me such perfect readings for sleep and awake times. In fact, BBS values have some discrepancies which have not been explained.
About the battery, I have woken up 2 times due to the low battery warning. Just in the night I had ~80% charge, but when it woke me up, it had fallen from 60 to 14% in a straight line drop (I don't know how the battery went from 80 to 60% in the first place, BBS didn't show anything weird).

Hi guys. Just a quick note. Stock battery stats definitely have problems.

Fortunately, the battery is not the cause. :good:

To get a good estimates of your battery capacity, try using Battery Monitor Widget.

It will show you last juice before shutdown and max juice the battery can handle.

Mine shows 3398mv before shutdown and 4155mv max

So, from there you guys can have the estimates before the phone actually shutdowns.

Mine, even if it is 1%, it still have many hours left before it completely shutdown. :D

So, there you have it. Hope you guys can take benefit from it.

p/s: I use 3500mah battery capacity by the way. :D

Why don't you use the gapps for cm10.2? I've mentioned that the one you flashed isn't for cm.

Sent from my MB526 using xda app-developers app
Here which I flashed-

'gapps-jb4.3-20130813-minimal_edited_20130814.zip 9.21 MB 487 0 2013-08-14 17:00:
Description: 20130814 - Play
Store 4.3.10. Based on new goo.im gapps.
For 4.3 based ROMs other than the
current Defy(+) CM10.2 (Sep 17th Build
and before)' !

And do i have to flash this-

'gapps-CM10.2_ONLY-20130813-minimal_edited_20130814.zip 19.47 MB 674 1 2013-08-14 17:17:
Description: 20130814 - FOR
Quarx's Defy(+) CM10.2 17th SEP BUILD
and BEFORE ONLY - Play Store 4.3.10.
Based on new goo.im gapps. Replaces the
keyboard in Defy(+) CM10.2 with the
Play Store version of Google Keyboard
with working Swipe. This is only till the
ROMs keyboard starts working, so if a
new Defy(+) CM10.2 build comes, first
test the ROM without gapps to see if
swipe works.' ?
Or you want me any other gapps to download..?

Hi,
Here are my remarks :
- Memory Leaks : got better
- Delay on wakeup : perfect
- Mobile data drops : Still not good for me, but to be honest, I'm not sure it was ever better even with the stock rom from where I work and with my operator (At the 10th floor in Lyon, France, with FreeMobile)... a colleague reports the same issue on his iPhone, sooooooo....

There are a few other bugs I can mention :
- The "search" button doesn't do anything, and custom actions do not seem to work
- BetterBatteryStats reports something strange : If I sum the durations , Awake + SleepMode > Total Time... is it normal ? or is there a bogus timer here ?
- Battery is either drained or the indicator is completely wrong (drops abruptly, goes from 40% to "shutdown" during the night, not reliable)
- Random Reboots, usually during high battery solicitation (either consuming data, or while playing a game)

Can't think of anything else... anyway this build rocks.
"Search" button working fine
Never used BBS
for better battery life..toggle airplane mode once on every reboot and it will work fine
random reboots..not a single random reboot since installation.

The missing search button action comes from upgrading from a previous versions just with cache wipes. In order to restore the function, you'll have to completely wipe your phone and start from scratch (not from SBF, but flashing ROM+Gapps).

it might be due to data partition size..reduce the size of zip by deleting some apps you don't need such as livewallpapers, ringtones etc..i reduced mine to 160 mb before flashing
then flash again with minimal gapps by TJKV.

Does anyone is facing the same problem as me?
my log cat is getting spammed by some errors related to auditd and libaudit.
Please see the attached log.
I fixed those in my own build... and I'm sure Quarx/Blechdose will do the same when they find time.

The last two commits here fixed the auditd errors and also got rid of these dalvikvm warnings:

Code:
W/dalvikvm( 3514): PR_CAPBSET_DROP 0 failed: Invalid argument. Please make sure your kernel is compiled with file capabilities support enabled.
W/dalvikvm( 3514): PR_CAPBSET_DROP 1 failed: Invalid argument. Please make sure your kernel is compiled with file capabilities support enabled.
W/dalvikvm( 3514): PR_CAPBSET_DROP 2 failed: Invalid argument. Please make sure your kernel is compiled with file capabilities support enabled.
W/dalvikvm( 3514): PR_CAPBSET_DROP 3 failed: Invalid argument. Please make sure your kernel is compiled with file capabilities support enabled.

It works good here (on 15/07's one).
In ES Explorer you have to activate "Write" permission in "/" to copy file on it.
Touch Root explorer (not on the on/off button) -> Mount R/W -> Choose RW for "/" or "system" -> Ok
It should work.

so... i think i might be totally stupid...
even if i perfectly knew that my defy had troubles with USB (RSD lite doesn't see it), i wiped everything and tried to install the latest nightly (wich i tried to install on 09/17 having no success, a red "Failed to install" came out of nowhere)...
well... i couldn't install the said nightly, so i decided to restore my backup (09/15) and now i have a bricked defy that i cannot connect to RSDlite...
the only option i see is the "install Update.zip from SD card" in the stock recovery...
does anybody know where i can find this kind of file? and will it help?

Nope..no way..you can try creating factory cable given in accessories section and check whether rsd detects your phone

R.I.P. Focal. For reasons that are OT in this thread, Focal has been removed from the CyanogenMod project. More info in the various Android news reporting sites.
The main reason to remove it is that, it's giving probs in many devices...that's y they removed it
