So I jumped on the bandwagon! Latest build! Latest kernel update. Phone is flying. But, my OCed values are not showing up on CPU spy. It's only showing default values! Is it just me?

You're right...i also don't see my overclocked speeds with CPU spy. I think with 11.10 this problem doesn't exist.

EDIT: In "Android Status" i see my overclocked speed (1200 MHz). Curious.

Pretty good

I've got a green lens Defy. I upgraded to 11/10 from eppy's 04/09 CM10. Then flashed the 12/10 upgrade. It was a real pain to get running. I had to set the governor to ondemand in the bootmenu (for some reason quarx's update set it to boosted) and that made everything run a LOT better.

Only 2 or 3 problems:
1. The button backlight is stuck at 100% brightness. Adjusting in Defy Parts makes no difference.
2. Rebooting into bootmenu doesn't work. Just get a black screen with a red LED up top. Then the phone won't boot until I manually go into bootmenu (hit volume down when the blue light comes on during boot) and from there select boot -> 2nd boot to get it to start up.
3. Really don't like the CRT animation anymore and there's no easy way to turn it off (yet)

To those people who are still on the fence as to whether to try these new 2nd boot builds I will say this: this is a real pain to get working. It takes patience. You have to be careful and follow all the steps. But on the other hand I can say that once it's all running it is noticeably faster than previous builds. The biggest change is that touches are a lot more responsive, like the notification tray pops out faster and smoother than it has previously. If you have some time to kill and are feeling adventurous give this a try, otherwise wait until the bumps get smoothed out.

Solved the problem of synchronization between PlayStore website and PlayStoreApp.
1.Waited about half-hour in order do PlayStore website identify the "new" device (after full wipe + flashing the build) and
2. Also, I guess open/connecting Gmail and gTalk apps helped to the first sync, as suggested here;
3. The problem of having two devices in the PlayStore website was solved just identifing which one was the working one and hiding the second one. Let's see if this one will disappear after a few time (months), as suggested here

Thanks guys for the tips.

Sadly I have to report, that the jump from 5x% to 49% persists. But for me it is no big Problem. Defy+ is 3-5 month old...

Edit: But this I did observe in all ROMs...
Charging per USB works quite well.

To Defy users (NOT defy+), in the about phone screen, the model name is MB526 or MB525?? if it's MB526, there's any way of edit the build.prop on bootmenu or recovery?? i have some other apps (aside from the play store) that relies on the model name...

It's MB526, but it can be changed to MB525 in build.prop successfully if you set the right permissions afterwards <= that was reported by a couple of users. ;)

All right...
I have done the following:
Reboot to custom recovery.
Clear Cache
Clear Davlik
Flash 10-11-12 zip
Clear Cache
Clear Davlik
Flash Update for 10-11 zip
Clear Cache
Clear Davlik

And reboot. Result is moto logo with blue led, then it quickly changes to red, and bootloops.

I've tried the same procedure with a full wipe, and the rest of the steps the same, and have tried that afore-mentioned fix.zip. Everything results in bootloop and a red led.

Can someone verify what exactly this business of removing the battery is about? I've taken it out, waited several minutes, and tried again... same result. Is there a setting I've missed in my boot settings?

I also dislike that animation, maybe it will be optional in future builds (as it was in CM7, if I. remember correctly).

ohh, i just find out it can be done with a flashable zip (so i don't boot the phone with the incorrect device name), i'll share it when i try it (tonight)... :cyclops:

Try this:
Clear cache and dv
Flash 24.9 build
Flash 6.10 kernel
Flash the 11.10 build
Flash the 12.10 kernel
Successful boot.
