Did you you start from wipe because on my green lens 1gig free on internal storage and no double up of apps with latest apps

system partition --> ROM storage (340 MB)
data partition --> internal storage (1.33 GB)

ps:
and double apps is because some google apps releases contain different but identical camera app, it will doubled with apps already inside the rom.

New build on defy green lenses:
Working audio with any player
Google now have voice now
Battery running a bit too fast (maybe cause I dont installed juice defender as I used to, or HWA settings)
Button back lights bug as everyone
No bug at receiving calls at all
Missing long press back to kill app
About 130 mb of free ram (gets a bit better with super charge script)

Using as everyday rom definitely.

Hey. I see you also have a Green Lens Defy with Google Now working. Did you install build 19 7, GApps, and the Kernel all from the link given by Quarx in the first post?

To root out any variables, did you install CM10 in this order?
Wipe data and cache
Flash build 19 7
Flash kernel
Flash GApps (Should I use GApps from 4ndr01d or are the ones galactics.ro fine too?
Wire Dalvik Cache
Reboot

Does it matter if I don't set up my Google account on the first boot but rahter set it up after using it past the first boot into CM10? And for the kernel and GApps from galactics.ro, does it matter if I use the signed version of GApps and the signed version of the Froyo Kernel?

Would you mind sending me your GoogleQuickSearch.apk from system/apps?

i already said it..
that doubled app..
it JUST because some google apps zip releases, CONTAINS, different yet identical gallery+camera app..

that's google apps releases fault, not this rom.

it has no connection between wipe data before updating CM10 and doubled app.


and anyway, i did not have a problem with doubled app..
because i know the roots of that problem, i can simply delete it on system partition.
yet again SYSTEM partition.. wiping data is not have any relationship with it.

you should have know this:
system partition (rom partition 340 MB)
is different with data partition (internal partition 1.33 GB)

But the zip problem, I think it's a problem with CWM, even it not happening to me.

For everyone interested: I couldn't flash TWRP due to... lack of space! After I removed some useless system apps I could flash it.

CM10 + JB Google apps is HUGE...
system partition gets full..

and for you guys..
and please don't say this:
"oh man i got 1 GB free on internal, what's your problem?"
that's internal partition, guys..
(internal partition is for additional apps and settings), it's different with system (rom) partition.

it seems you are not installing google apps then..

if you flash JB google apps..
you should only get <10 MB free space on system / rom partition.

google apps for JB doubled its size from GB.. it's 95 MB now..

CM10 zip: 135 MB
JB GA zip: 95 MB..

no wonder why after both installed (it gets extracted) it will fill our defy system partition to the limit.
our defy system partition only has 340 MB size.

Which apps package are you using i am using the latest from goomanager i had double apps previously maybe i am wrong but i don't seem to have anything missing it is only my observation and im happy

It may be beneficial to make a list of the gapps, what each one does and whether it is optional or not. Plus there may be some that could be deleted after the initial setup.

okay.. let me just clear this up.

i'm not talking about double app anymore.

previously i said about double app is because i'm just replying to someone here.
that i have a flashable zip to fix it.

what i'm talking about here now is:
jellybean and it's google app, is HUGE..
it's fill our system partition to the limit.

our defy only has 340 MB for system partition..

maybe we should list which apps are not important on system (rom) and google app package.

Bugs that I found

• WiFi take much time to connect (seems unstable)
• Tethering of course
• capacitive buttons backlight dont work
• google now don't speak
• I have 2 gallery apps WTF
• If you lock the phone while playing music on google play music the phone take ages to unlock. (apolo take less time to unlock but still happen)
• Boot animation is laggy (not really a bug, I dont care)

Impressions:

Project Butter is very noticeable on Browser and some apps.
Google Now is really cool, but I think if there is no way to make voice TSS work it's just a pretty voice search. I hope Quarx figure out how to fix this.
Very nice animations (there is any way to have this on ICS?)
I can receive calls fine, but I'll go back to ICS this time as I really like music and wifi is not so stable.

Quarx your work is impressive, I really believe you can fix these things and I hope you can make tethering work.

By the way, I did a full wipe and don't noticed other issues.

Google Now seems to be speaking just English!!
I just have one Gallery app.

I am able to confirm all the remaining bugs and would add that can't play music over Bluetooth (Making calls is working)

What i did downloaded latest gapps from goomanager when i installed latest cm10 and then goomanager apps not apps from first post

@Quarx: AFAIK google included chrome as default browser in JB but thats not the case with our nightlies, also the Google play seems to be normal one and not JB google play. These are just my querries and not a complain.

Button backlight works fine in the latest nightly. pressing on settings-system doesn't crash now and I can access the menu but still not being able to use notification widget

P.S. : Respect for Quarx but missing Epsylon3, I hope he comes back soon :-/
