I give you another cent: Use ext2/ext3/ext4. Also no 4GB limitation and in addition it is much faster than ms's ntfs!formatted it to NTFS, ... . Yey, no more 4GB file limitations! I
Just my 2 cents...

It's a lot better. Unfortunately, it doesn't mount on Windows machines by default. I use Linux but if I need to transfer files b/w someone else's computer I'll need to install an application first.I give you another cent: Use ext2/ext3/ext4. SD card r/w speed should improve. Also, as mentioned earlier NTFS allows a single file to be larger than 4GB in size.ive been reading about this new partition stuff, we are talking about changing the file system of the memorys internal space or the microsd card? if its from the microsd card, it increases overall performance? ty
Thanks, but SD tools had once shown 8.2MB/s write speeds, at the time the card was formatted by the Defy itself (fat32?). Now the transfer of a 14.2GB file to the card (always inserted on my phone) was done at 10.5MB/s (as shown by my notebook's Win7 monitor). Besides, NTFS, although old, is widely accepted everywhere...I give you another cent: Use ext2/ext3/ext4. Also no 4GB limitation and in addition it is much faster than ms's ntfs!
Yes..Does the GApps provided in the goo.im with the name "gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip" has working google now?

as far as i know the controller of the defy is very simple, sees only 0 30 50 70 and 100% other values are some how calculated, you can install a battery wdiget https://play.google.com/store/apps/...1bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5wancuYmF0dGVyeXdpZGdldCJd that also shows graphs off battery %, voltage and temperature, maybe so you can get an idea what app or configuration makes your battery drain.Running 02/11 build and in this build File manager is not working when clicking on the icon the following message appears "unable to run in root access mode changing to safe mode apply the change" I have cleared the data and still does not work. Please advise if this is a big with the app.

The battery drain on 02/11 build gives me only 24 hrs or so before it gets to 5% plus it drops suddenly from 60% to 50% and again from 30% to 20% anyone else notice this with their battery?
