I am having a drain of 1% every 3 mins.I am just browsing xda.I just upgraded to 02 11 and cleared dalvik cache.

Sent from my MB526 using xda app-developers app
Connect the thing to a PC, run the following command and show the output:
Code:
adb shell top -n 1|head
This command works on Linux and any other Unix-alike (eg. *BSD, OSX, etc) if you have adb in your path. If adb lives elsewhere, add the path to the adb command. AFAIK Windows does not have a 'head' command, in that case only use the part before the pipe ('|') symbol and show the first few lines of output.

This should give an idea about any runaway processes eating your battery. If nothing shows up, you might have other problems (eg. did not charge to 100% and left on charger for a while before commenting here, baseband or wifi or other radio-related problem, etc)

it's not normal, cause i've the same build installed and a drain of 15 to 20% within 6 hours (normal standby, wifi off). mb525 green lense and battery now more than 2 years old and with a lot of charging cycles (because i used it too as an ebook reader).

as far as i know the controller of the defy is very simple, sees only 0 30 50 70 and 100% other values are some how calculated, you can install a battery wdiget https://play.google.com/store/apps/...1bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5wancuYmF0dGVyeXdpZGdldCJd that also shows graphs off battery %, voltage and temperature, maybe so you can get an idea what app or configuration makes your battery drain.

the cm file manager don't work here for me too, maybe works in the next build.
I have the battery widget installed and these drops have occurred in standby mode.

Not that it would solve your unheard of problems, but being on the newest ROM never hurts.
Err, yes it does. The latest ROM might either be not properly tested yet, or might contain more bugs, or just doesn't work as good as previous versions. I'm also still on 18.10 v4 because of the problems the 2.11 ROM has.

I formate it with my PC, the deamon to mount sd in exfat need a bit over 8MB RAM for my 32gb sd

heat up over 43-46°C if I use games like dead trigger with exFAT with FAT32 everything stay cool around 39-40°C

Full ACK. I will not install 02/11...there are to many problems reported.

We're now at a point where the base system works quite nicely and the only real changes are made on a kernel basis.
I have yet to see a flaw on the 02/11 nightly which would deserve the name. CM explorer not working? It didn't work before.
It didn't even exist.

Button backlight might be a different case for me, since half of them are dead already.. and I never understood the obsession with them.
I wouldn't need them to be lit altogether, I mean, it's 4 buttons, right? If you hit the wrong one you must either have enormous sausage fingers, or a complete lack of orientation.

Of course it's not always better to flash the latest most experimental rom, but complaining about something that might have even been fixed on a new version though not updating seems a bit strange, especially if there aren't any real downsides to it.
There are still people around here who are on CM9, because they think it's safer, more stable, or simply don't know any better, yet still ask for changes or improvements for a desolate build.
I don't get it how people who should know better (judging by their registration date) are still incapable of finding things out on their own.
A flash takes a mere 10 minutes and you're going to have a first hand experience on the state of your problems being fixed, which seems a lot more effective than barking up the tree in this thread, when other people didn't encounter errors because their workflow and use of their device is completely different.

/long rant over

Lets see... battery drain/drops seems to still be present in some devices
package access helper consumes 80%+ cpu for 5 minutes after install/uninstall of apps, also caused reboots for me, but not every time (since 10/18 v4 update)
cpuspy doesn't display wake/sleepstates (since custom kernel + interactive)
netflix app locks up on loading (since 9/28, I think, previous to that it loaded but wouldn't play videos, played videos on CM7)

And yes, while minor, button backlight IS supposed to dim based on background lighting or manual setting, so that is a bug. If it doesn't bother you, and your phone runs perfectly, then you don't need to be here. Dev threads are for bug reports, not for people call out others for reporting them.

I'm getting very low space in the /system partition. I had to delete a few apks like Trebuchet and CM Wallpapers for gapps. Is it just me? Otherwise this nightly is awesome!

Heavy connectivity issues with 11/02 version!

Something changed about general connectivity in the last build. I was connected to my home wi-fi network, as always, without any problems. My network's encryption is open, since I do MAC address filtering instead. Then, I left my home towards my mother-in-law's, which has a WPA2-PSK encrypted network (which never gave me any issues in previous builds). Througout the way, my mobile network took over without any issues. So far, so good. Then, after reaching that house, my Defy refused to connect to that wi-fi network. I tried to turn wi-fi off and back on, to no avail. After a reboot, it was unable to find my mobile network anymore. I tried to turn data off and on, airplane mode off and on, and nothing! I had to wipe cache and dalvik cache again, in order to have it back. But, again, it refused to connect to my mother-in-law's WPA2-PSK encrypted network. I don't want to go back to the 10/18 build. The new build is much more fuild than that one. Besides, I would miss the NTFS format support.

Anyone with such issues?

I would like to share a report regarding my experience with battery issue...
I must say that battery age contributes to its performance.
My old original battery was 2 years old. It won't last more than 6 hours in my daily usage and network condition.

Then I purchased a new (not original & larger battery).

No more sudden drops even though I use it practically the same way.

Also this would answer to the question regarding Quarx's kernel in handling larger capacity batteries.
I can charge the battery to 100% without any problem.
