ParanoidAndroid Final ICS Build for Defy (Version: 1.5 Based on Quarx 16/07)


hybrid_gapps for ICS only

0. Back up your ROM
1. Wipe data/factory and cache
2. Wipe dalvik cache
3. Flash the ROM
4. Flash the ics gapps
5. Wipe data/cache again.
6. Reboot

-Go to paranoidandroid settings - configuration - choose tablet optimised
-Change the dpi for systemui and framework-res to 160 (for ICS only)
-Go to system - navigation bar - select softkeys
-Toggle "expand desktop" by pressing the power button for switching to full screen while playing games or using any other full screen app.

The beauty of this ROM is in customizing it, the better u play with paranoidandroid settings, the better u will make the look of the ROM. Advanced users shud share the customization here in this thread, I will add those in the OP.

Most of the problems are faced if you dont really know how to play with dpi settings. Please read the ParanoidAndroid FAQ Here
Any other problem, You can always report it here in the thread, I shall be happy to help.

Bhai , getting bootloops again and again . was on wr 1.6 , green lense defy , wiped everything , flashed 2nd build , flashed kernel ,flashed ui fixes and then wiped cache and data . still getting bootloops. dimaag khaarab ho gya hai bro !!

From the screen shots , i can tell its froyo kernel .

however cant say anything about the base rom.

i think it cant be quarx 8th march nightly , as it is a 4.0.4 ROM

Update PARANOIDANDROID Version to 1.5a

If you will update the PARANOIDANDROID version the USB Bug will disappear

I just woke up to add the download link.

need some sleep, till then happy flashing:

Its based on the latest nightly of Epsylon3 (27062012) with froyo kernel.

procedure if u r on froyo cm9 by epsy:
wipe data/factory and cache
flash the ROM
flash the ics gapps
wipe again.
reboot
go to paranoidandroid settings - configuration - choose tablet optimised and reboot.
enjoy the ROM and play with it


Please note that this is a port from Galaxy S2 and there are some parts which still needs to be modified. There is no file explorer in the rom so please download one from market. I ported in a hurry. As of now there is still cm9 bootanimation. I shall release an update.zip very soon containing fixes.
