Flashing rom dont touch /cache partitions whatsoever so it have no meaning if you wipe it before or after. It does however format /system partition and thus a dangerous operation if your current kernel is not safe. It does a bunch of other stuff i believe but at work now so i cant check.

I think the user in question imported0 was already on PA, IIRC. Hence I suggested just the "small wipe"

I asked before but got no response; I seem to be getting some odd effects when I apply themes when in tablet mode. For some reason the navigation buttons are fine, however the clock and status icons at bottom right are tiny - much smaller than they should be...

I suspect that it might have something to do with PAD/PAL settings, however I have no idea to fix this and I don't really want to change away from the PAD/PAL settings I use currently for System-UI. I've tried changing the PAD/PAL of the theme "app" to match the System-UI settings but that didn't work.

Anyone have any idea? Screenshots show three different themes (one being "System" showing how the clock and status *should* look)

This didn't use to happen with CM9-based Paranoid Android, only happens with CM10-based...

While we're at it, anyone know how to change the clock font in the status bar (and only the status bar) to use "Android Clock" instead of "Roboto Regular"? Loved the tablet mode status bar clock font and the JB equivalent is a bit... chunky... Notification Centre is fine as-is, just the status bar

Edit: forgot to add that this is with all CM10 nightlies by Utacka so far up to 22OKT as currently installed (will flash 24OKT when I get home from work)

If you want you can have this post reserved for all Pdroid versions and only update this post. I can then link to your post from post #4. What do you think?

headphone buttons

Is there a way to get the three headphone buttons working for this ROM,
  • Volume Up +
  • Volume Down -
  • Answer | End Call | Start Music player

I am using the headphones that came with my Note, and on the original ROM, that is what they did,
it would be great to be able to customize them

Thats fine. I can reserve and add all the new patches to that post you quoted. so you can link it on post #4 and it would be easy accessible for people.

For the "lock screen see through" thingy, go to settings > lock screen and change the parameters to your liking.

You also have the option to tick (=choose) transparent lock screen.

Apparently there is no possibility to hide status bar by default. At least I didn't find it. But you could change it to 100% transparency.

For the incoming call feature bug, what were the measures you did to eliminate this bug? Has been stated numerous times, but no one cares to start finding solutions. So, what are your plans?

The guy who provides the PA darkness theme is aware of the tiny circle battery. Just have a look his thread. Or stick with the theme's standard battery icon.
Some of the themes have a preview picture, some don't (like PA darkness theme)

Next build will have possible ril crash fix, I need you guys to report if its working. If network is stable, etc. Will be up in aprox 1 hour.

Edit:
Colors have a new format. the old format does not apply anymore. i dont think anything could happen even if you restore, but just so you know, it wont work at least.

Anyone else having lockscreen issues?
After a while (phone is locked), when I press any key to wake the device, the screen flashes for a second and then i cant wake it anymore (keys doesnt work) and i have ti press the power button twice to wake it.
Did I flash something wrong? xD
I came from 2.2 to the newest 2.5
Wiped dalvik and cache,nothing else.
Not on custom kernel.

EDIT: Now, when I want to simulate the issue, everything is working fine. But this happened to me at least 50 times today.
2/3 times in the last 30 mins.

EDIT 2: I'm eating my brains out trying to simulate it. It seems that its working fine now. But I bet that tomorrow, when I'll have to show something to iphone fanboys it wont work.
I dont know which is iritating me more, the glitch, or the fact that I can't simulate it.
I'm 90% possitive it's the second thing.
Please someone tell me it's not just my phone :(:(:(

PARANOIDANDROID 2.51 | Per-App COLOR (newest PA invention), Dpi & UserInterface

b66968ace6c1ad1d604cfd19d1ea6421 pa_n7000-2.51-25OKT2012-000243-Utacka.zip uploaded

Notes:
  • Always check md5 with OP before flashing, goo md5 can be misleading while uploading to goo.
  • Repo sync: 00:02 CEST
  • Parapref update: new color system for per-app navbar, button, glow & statusbar
  • Upstream cm10 changes
  • Upstream pa changes

Parapref update: new color system for per-app navbar, button, glow & statusbar
Another extension of our Per-App feature, now Per-App-Statusbar customizations.
Analogous to Per-App-Color for Navbar, Per-App-Statusbar allows you to have different color/transparency configuration for each & every app!

There's no 'best' look. There's just what looks awesome to you.

Settings -> ParanoidSettings -> Apps -> (appname) -> Per-App-Color/Statusbar

Every setting you need, can be accessed in here. Mess with it, play with it, try out different values until you're satisfied with the result.

PS: Due to added Per-App-Statusbar, Backup/Restore might be affected. Its possible backup/restore might not work.

Possible RIL crash fix
I need you guys to report if its working. If network is stable, etc. Hopefully it wont nagging you anymore to re-enter pin code. Please try this version without any custom kernel first. Need as many reports as possible, including your modem and that you actually are on 25 oct version. Last if it doesnt work, anyone care to try NEW JB modems and report?
