Flashed the 121212 update ..every thing is awesome except the battery ... how are others doing on battery ?

Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
im facing the same issue, my battery drained quite fast. under same usage, my battery juices drop from about 11 hrs (7am - 6pm) to 08 hrs from the last two updates. for unknown issue, my note got hot even without any apps running, e.g. from fully charged to 90% in minutes.

is it just me or...

anyway, thanks Utacka for the great works :good:

...bugs that have been present for months
And will remain for more months. Blame samsung.

1. [major] Volume issue
Blame samsung. No/worthless sources.

3. [minor] Auto brightness
Blame samsung. No/worthless sources.

4. [minor] Cannot record phone call
Blame samsung, I believe. Not sure though. Wont be implemented, as illegal in many countries. CM wont offer a platform for illegal actions.

I hope these issues are resolved in a later version as I would love to use this rom!
No, wont be. Devs are unable to hack this **** and are quitting, one after one. Even if the sources would eventually drop (which they probably wont) theres no one interested in it anymore. Blame samsung for that.

for unknown issue, my note got hot even without any apps running
Make the unknown issue known by installing better battery stats and then fix it.

My charge was 100% when I went to sleep only to find it at 16% so phone lost all the charge in abt 6 hrs .
Same as above.

Dalvik2preload

Made a init.d script, which sends dalvik-cache to preload partition. Just to free some memory in data through most useless patition in our Notes :) (preload is 500 mb and we don't use it really).
Before flashing this script you should clean garbage in your preload partition(If you ever flashed stock firmware, it has tons of useless samsung crap)

@schaggo #blame #samsung and #praise #sony
My post above wasnt meant as a Sony praise, everyone may use the device and support the manufacturer pleasing him or her the best. But I actually was impressed by what I read, pretty hardcore:
Oskar Anderö set up the CM environment and worked on re-creating the problem internally. (...) Oskar then did a binary blob for CM, which was pushed to CM’s proprietary binary GitHub .
As I said, überhardcore... A dev doing work for CM and they put it on their corporate website. Wow.

Hi Utacka.. Is it possible to merge PA with the new CM 10.1
From what I understand CM10.1 is still very unstable and critical parts dont work at all, so forget it, they wont jump on a halfbaked base and shizzle that half baked base around even more.
Also, from what I understand, PA is a framework hack. It would have to be fully adapted to the new 10.1 code. And that wont happen, as PA moves from CM to AOSP. Adating to a new CM seems kind of pointless at this point.

And, as this is a totally dev related question, totaly the wrong thread.

@schaggo
If I had understood it as such (a pure praise Sony post), I would have put some [IRONY] tags around to take the piss. But I was astonished as hell, how a respectful cooperation may look like.

Concerning the 4.2.1 release by Entropy512. I do *NOT* find it that unstable. I admit that I had run other ROMs before (at the very beginning of JB), which where far more unstable than this release yesterday. No reboots, apparently no media scanner behaving crazy, no mem leaks, audio (music) well working...it is smooth (IMHO!) for my personal use.

Sorry utacka for the off topic...and for being unfaithful. Please forgive me I have sinned ... LOL ;)
