First time using this ROM... have come from an AOSP rom...

Had a search but didn't see anyone else with this issue.
When i try to change UI and then restart my device nothing has changed. Have tried changing the DPI, hybrid, tablet and phone UI... but nothing saves. Its just the same as before...

something I'm missing?

Yes superuser is giving issue, flash SuperSU and can be found on post #4

I'm losing my root..i'm coming from crash rom 8.2 on speedmod 13.3 kernel. This is what I've done
1. Flash abyss kernel
2. Reboot recovery
3. Flash data, cache, and dalvik cache
4. Flash paranoid rom
5. Reboot the rom

Everything works fine except I lost my root..is there anything wrong with my step?

Read 2-3 post above you, SuperSU can be found at post #4. Next release will include it by default.

yes i did checked the usb debugging mode
installed the samsung drivers
there's no change in the PC Odin while connected, i did restarted both system and phone

Ill try flashing hydra kernal and get back to you

you checked usb debugging in developers option?? what about Samsung drivers for your Note?? is it installed??
please provide a screen shot for your PC Odin with the chosen kernel & device connected
and what do you mean by stuck there??
if you didn't do anything (since its not recognizing the device) you can reboot & use the phone without any problem

other option but it will be riskier is to download a safe kernel to flash with CWMR
if you use this option don't forget to go back for advanced & reboot recovery

Just an FYI to avoid clutter on this thread..... kernel Hydra 5.1 has video recording issues on various roms, so don't complain on this thread that video recording not working.

Quick msg to say thanks for your work Utacka, been installing nightlys since 2nd version. Very good and stable. Latest with Hydra 5 seems to make Apollo quit when browsing Web on stock browser (yes rebooted to clear ram). But apart from that pretty sweet! Even took the risk to flash when on call. I love having a backup guy to cover

this seems to obe related to the HaydraCore 5.1, i suggest downgrading to version 4.3b till gavin fix it by tomorrow

i suggest watching the kernel thread for more info and updates
