Just followed your instructions. Log file wasn't created and the zip file doesn't contain the configuration file after reboot. Will try another reboot now..
Update : additional reboot and same situation. No log and no configuration file. Let me know if I can help diagnose or test anything.
Cheers!
Can I confirm that you flashed it in CWM?

Utacka, thought might be useful to you... and more so to all of us :D. thunder07 has created a tool for the exact same purpose as the quote below. Ignore if it causes you more inconvenience than ease :)

Utacka, would it be possible to also upload only the update part as a separate CWM flashable zip along with the whole PA ROM?
Those who already have the PA ROM installed on their Note dont need to download and flash the whole ROM again, only the update zip would be enough and for those who are on a different ROM and want to flash the PA ROM can download the whole ROM zip.

Hi all, been on this ROM for a day now, fairly happy with battery. I still think my phone rebooted in my pocket once. Using hydracore 5.3. Not overly impressed with smoothness... other than that, I'll stay with this rom because of regular updates. To those who miss usb storage, I miss it too, but found airdroid more than replaces it. It also seems to transfer files quicker... as usual, mad respect for all the hard work, still feel like I got my note yesterday!

you can also simply share a folder in the homenetwork and connect to that folder with es file explorer. Thats whot if done since the beginning!

Yes the last update I did (to make it work from either sdcard) broke it... I'm really sorry! Please download it again and flash.

Just as a side note - it now leaves a small debug log in /data/local/99update.log - if you do have further problems, please send me a copy of this file. Thanks.
i guess an alternative is to have a userinit.sh file that copies the config file to a specified location for you, this can be run at startup from /data/local/userinit.d/ directory
For it to be more robust you would need to (oth):
- check current backup modified date
- compare with existing config file in /etc/paranoid
- if /etc... file is older, do not copy, else copy

you can always add more lines in that script to backup all your other config files all over the rom (widget backups, calendar config backups etc)

don't know if it's doable, but it's a thought

What is the best way to update the rom? Download with goo.im and wipe cache and dalvik? Last time i tried to update it didnt work and i had to do a fullwipe.
