I assume you actually mean AniDroid kernel, not Android. Yes, you can flash it safely on any CM9 build.

AniDroid kernel has lots of CPU governors and you can tweak the kernel performance according to your needs. You can find the governor option in Settings/Performance/Processor. Some governors are better suited for battery life, some for performance. Read this for clarification:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1369817

All in all, AniDroid is faster than the original CM9 kernel, battery life is good, but it has problems with nandroid backups and restores. There is a workaraound for this, though: just keep the Stable Release CM9 kernel on your SD card (download it from the OP here), and flash it when you want to do a backup. Reboot recovery, do a backup, then reflash Anidroid kernel and reboot system. The same procedure applies for restore.

NoteCore v13 updated in the OP.

Changelog v13:
Code:
 - Totally, utterly, completely rebuilt from scratch
 - HK Update 1 as base (no Update 4 bits)
 - Built with same toolchain as Samsung use (all others, including linaro make no difference)
 - All debugging, logging, symbols etc stripped out - VOODOO LOUDER and TEGRAK will NOT work
 - Totally reworked voltage tables
 - OC and STD both have 100Mhz added as lowest frequency
 - OC undervolted by -50mv each level (bit more than v12.5 for stability)
 - STD undervolted by -25mv each level (been less before, so should not cause any stability issues)
 - SECONDARY voltage tables adjusted - much, much , much less heat!
 - NTFS dropped as it did not work
 - Settings > About kernel info patch kept
 - OC GPU - [email protected] [email protected]
 - STD GPU - [email protected] [email protected] (lower than stock, stable)
 - Tweaked Ondemand, Conservative, and PegasusQ governors
 - SIO set as default, Noop may offer *slightly* better battery life if desired
 - Dropped Update 4 framebuffer drivers in favour of Update3+Speedmod MDNIE k3-7 (less screen on battery drain)

Hi Chasmodo, currently I'm on Notecore v12.5. Can I flash directly v13 via PC Odin? Need to do full wipe before and/or after flashing? Thank you.

You can flash v13 using PC Odin, but you'll trip the binary counter and get the triangle. I'd advise you to download the zip version and flash it through CWMR. No need to factory reset, just do a cache and dalvik wipe after the flash.

You meant I can use the v12.5 CWM Recovery to flash the zip version file? After flashing, boot again to its v13 recovery mode and wipe only both cache partition & Dalvik cache? Do I get those points correctly?:) Thanks.

Chas,

Kernel CM9.0.0 derived from final stable release... is it known safe for nandroid backup and restore. Asking this as I plan to keep only this Cm kernel on my SD card as insurance (hope no asylum inmate is watching me as I am talking nandroids ;))
