Chas, just a quick querie....

whats the golden rule for nandroid restores, since we have so many varied base,

with special regard to safety

since we have many device bricking during the nandroid restore or geting stuck on logo during booting ?

how to go back to restore of ics custom which was backed by notecore kernel from cm9 base rom ?

do we use the same version of recovery for back up and restore ?

your advise much appreciated, thanks

That's a good question, rraaka.

My general rule of thumb would be to use the same kernel for restore that you used to create your backup.
I would stick to this especially in cases when switching bases (TW and CM).

So, if you are on, say, CM10 Rom and wish to restore a TW backup created in NoteCore CWMR:

- flash NoteCore kernel
- reboot recovery to get to the Notecore one
- do a full wipe
- restore

HI good sirs,

Anybody could provide me a link (or perhaps the file) for SpeedMod k3-10 ICS? I tried to search the thread under speedmod but it seemed the only ones posted are the latest one (k3-13) down to K3-9, it skipped K3-10.

Anyone has the ICS speedmod k3-10 link I can download to?

I greatly appreciate it if someone can point me where it is.

Thanks

This thread is really useful, and not only from noobs.

I have been pushing you a little further to the 4k ;)

Maybe you could make it even better, adding supported governors, IO, freqs, etc.

cheers (I'm on vodka!)
