Changes are to Ramdisk only. Kernel itself remains untouched apart from disabling eMMC_CAP_ERASE via Tungstwenty's hex patching method. That's why kernel doesn't need to be recompliled from source. Just offending byte changed from 1 to zero. But that could change soon. Keep an eye on Philz thread.....;)

Although I don't understand how that is possible... let's say I get it :D

Phil upgraded his kernels to 3.71. Download link can be found in the OP here.

Changelog:
Code:
3.70 --> 3.71: added format /preload on special wipe before install new rom
Merge Koush last changes: (+ add credit inside code source)
- dedupe: fix buffer overflow, the length of key was incorrect, 4.2's libc detects the overflow and crashes
 - fix bug where you cannot partition internal sd
add wipe all before install ROM: wipe all user data + wipe system
second pass at fixing partition sdcards menu by PhilZ, now it should work as supposed

omg... I flashed the zip with the 3.71 kernel and now the phone doesn't work: if I press the power button it goes "samsung galaxy note gt n-7000" and then black screen. tried several times, always the same :(

what happened?! how to fix?!

edit: it goes into the recovery. I'm downloading the "ultimate" rom and try to flash it.
First time I flashed a kernel and was worried I bumped into the erase command of death.

Please see the red sentence on that screenshot of the OP, which shows the most important instruction of this thread.
I strongly recommend you to report your problem on Philz's thread and pay attention to this post in particular. Else, Father Chasmodo will have to go to the hospital again due to a nervous breakdown. Thanks ;)

I'm sorry, you're right. I read that part of the post two days ago among many others and I didn't pay enough attention tonight when I choose to flash it!
Sorry, by the way I think I figured it out how to solve :)

Why don't you contribute to CM10 kernel development then? Instead of whining and complaining, that is.

Oh, don't tell me you feel good seeing the Exynos devs going away...

I wanted to join Gavin in developing HydraCore, but he never delivered his promice of giving me the tools I need. And after that, I got a job. So... no more time left for anything :) since I have college, too.
