Hello,

I think I found some bug - or well some not working function rather - not sure what causes it:

Phone Encryption does not work with the NX Kernel.

I tried both the 1.3.5 and the 1.3.8b Versions together with Stunner 2 (x.x.23 - latest).

When I try to encrypt the phone reboots as supposed to, but then after like 5 minutes in the boot animation the message "Encryption unsuccessful" is displayed and the data partition is corrupted (phone needs factory reset after this).

After trying the latest NX-Kernel Versions, I also tried the encryption with the preinstalled kernel of the Stunner 2 rom - and there it works!

So it cannot be an issue with the rom apparently, it has to be caused by the kernel.

I have no clue how to get logcats for this, but if you explain me how (I guess through adb, if that works during boot animation..) I can provide logcats of the encryption process if you cannot test it yourself.

(all the tries where on a fresh install of Stunner 2, with the internal SD card beeing practically empty - formatted before the rom installation)

What happened to the original post in this thread?? Used to show links to all the various kernels all beautifully organised and easy to read and find what you wanted. Now we have to go through the whole thread just to find links to the kernels.

Any chance of you fixing this???

I used to always check this threads opening post for updated versions of philz speedmod helloworld etc. So I could try out different kernels and see which works best. Is there a kernel for stock rooted jb that has an associated app for tweaking like nx kernel does???

Closest thing is to use CoH kernel with an app called CPU adjuster or another similar app from play
