I have tf201 on 4.1.1 10.4.2.18, have tried motochopper several times, and it either says server not present then waiting for device, the daemon starts then hangs, or it says waiting on device, then the daemon starts and just sits there. Only once did it complete the routine, but it failed is what it said when it finished. HELP!!! Using an xp machine to do this.

Update, I was just about to give up then I decided to try something. I attempted motochopper again, this time with my prime fully booted, instead of in fastboot, and SUCCESS!! So if you have problems with motochopper in fastboot mode try it fully booted into JB.

A Solution For Those With Stuck "Daemon Started Successfully" Problems

Finally figured this out tonight.

First download the latest ASUS Android Composite ADB Interface Driver, currently for windows 7 it is 4.0.0.10
Because I am a new user it won't let me post links, but I downloaded it from drivers.softpedia

1. Then make sure USB debugging is turned on on the Transformer Prime.
2. Connect your Transformer Prime.
3. Go to your Device Manager in Windows. (For windows 7 rigjht click on Computer and click manage. Then in the left hand column click on device manager.)
4. Make sure ASUS Android Devices shows up. If it does not, you probably do not have USB debugging turned on.
5. Open that and right click on ASUS Android Composite ADB Interface. Click update driver software. Pick the folder manually and go to where you extracted the files from the driver download. Once you update the driver you will have to restart your computer.
6. Once you get back running proceed to run the run.bat file for motochopper as you did before.

It took several minutes for mine to run through and finish but it finally worked. Let me know if you have any questions.

Woooot? Damn! Luckily I used it only for my tablet, my phone's IMEI should still be safe...

Same here. I only used it for my tf300. I didn't use it for my nexus 5.

I did use it for my sister's galaxy s3 though. What should I do? She doesn't even know what IMEI is.

I ended up trying to use the Kingo method on my POS TF201.

I was having issues with "windows was unable to install ASUS Android Composite ADB Interface" which was stopping Kingo from working.

I downloaded 3 Composite ADB Interface drivers from the web, none would be recognized. I finally downloaded the drivers found in this post (download and uncompress the zip file and drivers are inside). Device manager then accepted and updated the drivers. This took the most time to solve.

However, Kingo root failed for me... as it showed I was already rooted "ROOT STATUS: yes" which was true as I had root before ASUS boned me when I sent in the tablet for repair and so it came back with "partial root" - which Kingo showed as "root" - but in fact, I do not have full root. So I tried both the "reroot" and "remove root" options which fails with "Remove Root Failed ConnecitonUnstabitil" message.

EDIT: I then tried motochopper - not as elegant a method as no fancy nice GUI - and it reports success BUT no root achieved on reboot.

Something is up with the SU Binary, maybe leftover from original root? Causing some kind of conflict?

Any ideas guys?

Sorry for not helping with your problem, but DO NOT use Kingo, apparently it's a sort of spyware for PC's and Android devices. Read the link posted above by @nooktablet

There's not much we can do now. Just get rid of the software from your PC. Let's wait and see what comes out.

I am not on a phone, I am on a tablet. The reported issues, also reported to have been fixed, were relative to phones.

Newer Kingo seem to be fine some say.
I googled to no avail. Couldn't really find anything about Kingo's issues been fixed. Threads in XDA remain closed. Do you have a link?

Reported comments on FB they made and comments found elsewhere here. I don't have them handy, sorry, but I am not concerned. Even more so since I am on a phone. Have you looked at FB? It seems they are trying to be legit, seem legit, act legit and had an explanation - which other smarter than me - accepted as to why they collected the info they did.

Now I still need to figure out why it fails, and how to undo a partial root that took place before them but that Asus jammed me on when I had to send it back.

This method worked on my tf300t after everything else failed. 4.2.1 v10.6.27.5
Now if I could just unlock the dam bootloader. The v8 Asus unlocker tool gives me unknown network error.
Welcome to the golden branch, try taking Asus tracking from there site, if the site loads
