jb to kk update on region unlocked phone

I have note 3 att region unlocked on JB. its working fine ... now i want to update it to KK .. so if i install KK .. my phone will get locked again ??? another question ... i have NAND backup of JB. can i downgrade it if i dont like KK ????

You should be fine to upgrade.

If you update to official, no.
