I still doubt that it is modem releated. I didn't experience it on V5 of this rom. Now I upgraded to marshmallow version of this rom (android 6.0) and again I don't have this bug. In my case only v6 and v7 version are affected by the bug. I think, It have to be connected with rom code, but some modems can only limit intensity of this drain. I use opengapps mini, and also used it when I was on 5.1 version of this AOSP. In summary - modem changing can be treat as temporary workaround but for this who still plan to stay on 5.1 version I recommend to find a fix in rom code.

There is no battery drain for telephone at all :S. I never experienced it, and it's strange that its affecting two people only. Perhaps go to stock TW rom and then format and try again?

Can someone tell me how far can I undervolt the cpu?
And how can I check, which kind of hardware revision do I have? Cuz it affects undervolting capability as I remember.
Had a strange bug :after a night on airplane mode I can't see wifi networks. Manually I can add networks and it connects well, but I can't see any networks in the wifi menu :/

If I counted correct, 4 people reported here phone.apk drain. I'm not going to flash stock, I updated to JDCTeam 6.0 and the bug is gone. As iI said only 5.1 based v6 and v7 has this bug in my case. Basing on that not ever user has it, and changing modem can help we can say that this bug can be limited in some configurations. Anyway as I said after upgrade to 6.0 rom, it is no longer my problem, I just gave you an advice. It is better to investigate it (if it's real bug) and fix because you never know whats more it can affect in future builds and what can happend if one day you'll decide to update modem to another version.

Actually I was able to replicate this issue. I changed my cpu min frequency in stweaks to 486 KHz, and then phone apk had 6% battery usage out of nowhere. It was draining battery. thats the only way I experienced this.
also, perhaps open gapps could be causing this issue, since I used Apr 23 ones. Before that I had april 10 gapps, so it wasnt an issue then.

We can try slim gapps and see how that works?

My issue with this rom is the wifi switching. When I'm on 2.4GHZ frequency, and I move around the house with the phone, then somehow the rom connects to 5GHz frequenct automatically. And it keeps doing this back and forth. This issue exist in CM 12.1 roms. So Dev can you please look into this? The AOSP 6.0.1 rom by JDCT doesn't have this issue. It stays on 2.4GHZ.

You should set your wifi to use only 2.4 or 5 ghz networks.
Tip of the day: if you don't play games, limit your max gpu freq to 200 MHz. You will see immense decrease in heating of the device without any undervolt ;)

After upgrade to Stable 1 Release my Exchange Account disappeared. I can't even re-add it as there is no option in "Add account" for Exchange services.
Any idea?

Not really, not even a day. But switched to intelliplug hotplug. Maybe we should use Alucard hotplug. I have no idea but really annoying

Will there be any more builds for this? You guys have done a great job on this, much appreciated! Thinking about to make the switch to one of your marshmallow build, which one would you recommend the CM13 based or the open source one if i mostly care about stability and good battery life? Thanks!

I hope there will be a May release of this rom. I am currently using it and not experiencing any high phone battery drain. I flashed it again, so far its amazing.

Hopefully +BB+ will release an updated and more smoother version of this rom. This is the best and most stable rom available for S4 snapdragon 600 cpu.

You are wrong. Most stable is cm 12.1 February build, truly amazing in every aspect. Of course JDC version. I had strange heat up issues with this rom as well as those strange apk drains.. Maybe I will come back to this one, but the 12.1 final is just the best I have had for this phone.

Any current links to this vaulted February build? I've about given up on MM ROMs due to the ongoing BT issues. I just need a stable cool running BT working ROM...:(

    What is AOSP?
AOSP is Android as Google publish without other modifications. More or less AOSP is the Nexus devices stock rom without gapps. Anyway to get a working system me and @-+BB+- added some changes from CyanogenMod. We added also some non-AOSP features like init.d support, @alucard_24 kernel for better performance and energy saving, STweaks for advanced kernel settings and support for Over-The-Air updates through a dedicated app (OTA Updates). Maybe something else from us might be added, but please do not ask for features to be added because we're not going to add more to keep this ROM small, fast and pure.

    Download
ROM builds are hosted on RomHut
TWRP Recovery v2.8.7.0 with F2FS management support: AndroidFileHost

    Installation
TWRP Recovery v2.8.7.0 is suggested for installation

    Devices supported: I9505, I9507, I9508, I545, R970, I337, M919, L720. (I9515 and I9500 are not supported).

AT&T and Verizon users: since your bootloader is locked, you must be on the UCUAMDB or UCUAMDL bootloader if you own an AT&T phone, otherwise if Verizon you must be on the VRUAMDK bootloader in order to use this ROM. Do getprop ro.bootloader in Terminal Emulator or through ADB shell to find out which bootloader you have

    First time or clean install:
    1. Download the ROM from the link above
    2. Download GApps package for Lollipop 5.1
    3. Put the zip files on your SDCard
    4. Reboot in Recovery
    5. Wipe Data / Factory Reset
    6. Optional: convert to F2FS
    7. Select "Install zip from SDCard"
    8. Choose AOSP zip file
    9. Choose GApps zip file
    10. Reboot system

    Update from a previous build:
    • Via OTA Updates:
      1. Open OTA Updates app
      2. Download the update
      3. Press "Install"
Your device will automatically reboot and install the update.
    • Manual update with TWRP:
      1. Download updated build from the link above
      2. If you do not have the Gapps package, download Open GApps
      3. Put the zip files on your SDCard
      4. Reboot in TWRP Recovery
      5. Wipe /cache and dalvik-cache
      6. Select "Install zip from SDCard"
      7. Choose AOSP zip file
      8. Choose GApps zip file
      9. Reboot system

We don't have a backup/restore GApps script yet. When you update /system is formatted, so you need to reflash GApps package too. In case you don't do it, Google Apps will fail in endless force closes after boot.

First boot after install/update takes a while, wait at least 5 minutes for it to boot.

To convert cache, data and system partitions to F2FS look in post below.

Unfortunately i never seen a log from a device with this issue, but i merged some commits that should avoid the problem, and during our internal test we had every kind of issue, rr, freeze, etc, but none of us experience the black screen after reboot! :)

Now enjoy our first stable release! ;)
