You will only get a notification if you have stock recovery and an untouched build prop. Once you download and extract the zip, flash it with your custom recovery. TWRP or CWM.

mine is completely stock currently. I guess this could be why? Or not? I've only had HTC phones before so I'm not very familiar with the rooting process for asus..

I copied it to the root of my internal storage and my tablet immediately told me a system update was available. Tapped it and the update started. Did not have to reboot to get the tablet to see the update file.

Are you based in US? Are you unlocked/rooted already?

i used the method as describe and it worked perfectly. i removed the internal zip and copied it to the root of the internal memory, rebooted the tablet and a message in the notification appeared. when i started it, i was taken to twrp and saw the option to flash the update. i lost root and followed the steps as outlined from # 3 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30516010 and i regained root. i'm on an unlocked bootloader. the only gripe i have is that everytime i reboot the tablet android is updating but it's extremely minor. i hope u guys can get it working. i'm pleased w/ the results of this new update.

And are you based in US?

Hi there! I bought my TF300T directly to China, so I think it's not the same as US version right? the thing is I just can't OTA update to JB, does anyone know if I'm able to flash this firmware or I'll start having issues?

Heh. I have ww and i dont get any update i want it with root ofc

Edit: after sensing this post i went to settings and i have update (it.must,be jb), but w/o root its not enough for me.

Is any1 working to get root on jb? Or is a possibility to keep root between ics and jb?

Mine still can get rooted after updating to JB..just make sure root is backup before updating JB because Superuser app rrecently eceived update and Voodoo OTA need to backup root again.

2 - Press F12
3 - Edit the "Global download" for the "ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T Firmware: V10.4.2.9 Only for US SKU (Android 4.1)" to :
