Some guides say recovery earlier but OK. Do i miss anything by not doing s-off? How should i root? I mean there are too many ways to root...?

Without s-off you just have to use either a computer for flashing a kernel, or turn smartflash on (an option in 4ext recovery advanced menu) right before you flash a ROM.

Try using ERoot. It's a simple software, Chinese (or maybe Japanese, dunno) though. Just plug in your phone when USB debugging is on, and click the green button with a dash (-) before its caption.

Yes, you're rooted. Now head to 4ext touch recovery thread, download the file.

Yeah. After the backup is done, make sure smartflash is still on. Then go to wipe and format section, wipe all except sd card. Then go to install from sd and choose the ROM, selecting install without wipe in the Aroma installer.
So which ROM did you finally choose to install?

I want to try ViperS because of sense 5! but still your opinions are highly appreciated

Venom kernel flasher eases your work of flashing a kernel through fastboot, but you still need a computer, and if you don't want to, then everytime you wanted to install a ROM or a kernel, enable smartflash right before the process (smartflash is set to off again after every reboot).

ViperS 5 is what I recommend, too. then you'll notice the improvements yourself.

Aroma installer is like a setup wizard on Windows, provides options to be chosen, while installing.

No! As I told you, smartflash does the job without venom kernel flasher. Also, aroma installer is not something required seperately. It's already implemented on the ROM installer zip.

Ok, i wiped cache, dalvik and battery. Install from sd card selected ViperS zip aaaand a few lines then installation aborted why?

If flunked, check the downloaded zip's md5 sum, and see if it matches the md5 posted on ViperS thread next to download link or not.

You mean wipe data/factory reset? What is mid5 sum? How to check it?

no, he means wipe everything except sd card, that is option in wipe option in 4ext..do that! md5 sum is some nuber/letter combination, you have also option in 4ext recovery to check md5 of zip Venom5, and if it doesnt match with one in venom thread download again.. man, you have to read something too, cant ask for eeeeevery little thing here, dont get me wrong but this isnt chat for you to ask 40 questions in row on how to install custom rom.. peace

Yes that number was different. I downloaded it again now things are fine it asks for max cpu and gpu speed? What should I pick?

C2 is Ville C2, or Asian One S, which has the same CPU with ours.

By the way, I have chosen 1674MHz if I remember correctly, and 320MHz max for 3D GPU, and my battery lasts greatly.

Relies on your own usage. You can change it later if it bothered you.
