You need to use the backdoor first.
I found a website with the Honeycomb OTAs.

You can use the Backdoor from the Sony.Tablet tool by Condi.
I remember seeing the links on Google somewhere or was that for the Tablet S?
Well you can try searching for it. :p

Wow, I sure haven't replied for 11 hours, too bad I did not get that email saying that you quoted me. :p
The Honeycomb OTA links are not available on the OTA server so you will need to find them on Google.

My tablet hangs on the start screen sony. I want to upload downloaded new soft but the only option is to upload it to the SD card. I have a file on the card but it does not see the tablet.
All I can do is to go to System Utility and navigate the keys VOL + and VOL-

How to run the tablet locked. I have no ideas.

You need an external SD card and you need to have the backdoor applied.

Frist time updating Sony Tablet S (SGPT111US/S)

All,

This is the first time I am going to update my SGPT111US/S tablet. Am I in the right forum to get all information and files necessary? I don’t want to sound simple, but to make sure I don’t brick my tablet, but I want to update to Jelly Bean.
Could someone be nice enough to point out the latest files and instructions?

Thanks,
Grim

There are no Jelly Bean (Android OS Version 4.1.x) firmware releases for the Sony Tablet S. Android OS Version 4.0.3 Release 5a is the last firmware release for the Sony Tablet S. No future firmware updates are expected.

If you are on the latest version of the firmware then you have to use the backdoor which lowers the SKU value so you can install ANY OTA zip (you have to be rooted first), if you are on R1A or lower then you can just install the OTA zip.

Sorry for the delay, I was doing a "major" update to one of my site's and had to post a long post on a rom thread somewhere else which says to them to get on topic or I will send a forum admin in. :p

The R5A rom and R1A recovery is to do with using the pre-rooted rom by Condi.

Unfortunately downgrading to what ever version will not downgrade the recovery, I have tested this myself.

The reason why the R1A recovery is important is because it does not block the ADB Shell, unlike R5A it changes the ADB address (I created a up-to-date driver which works with it) so ADB does still work, just rejects all ADB commands except 'adb devices', if you do enter a adb command other then that then you will get the error "error:closed" which is not really an error, it is more of a false error.

JellyBean update for rooted stock ICS r5a

Hi,

I have a Sony Tablet S, with stock ICS (4.0.3 Release 5a) installed. I rooted it using the AllInOne tool. This worked.

I've read a lot of messages here, but, it's unclear whether, at this point, I can get hold of JellyBean in order to upgrade my tablet to JellyBean (which Sony is not providing).

Is it possible ? and if so.. how ?

There are no releases of Jelly Bean available for the Sony Tablet S and I doubt there ever will be.
