All the german files for the Wifi+3G (HC+ICS):File not found.
Thanks

Looking into it. I read that over in AIO thread and started to work on it. I hadn't checked HC file yet. But noticed that Italy and Germany's files were invalid. I have found the update for the Italy tab but nothing for the German tab yet.

The Italy tab link only channge 0003 to 0005.
i.e. http://info.update.sony.net/ST003/nbx03_010/contents/0003/signed-nbx03_010-ota-120427022.zip was the OLD

And the new

http://info.update.sony.net/ST003/nbx03_010/contents/0005/signed-nbx03_010-ota-120427022.zip

I searched but could not find the German file. Maybe it is not online???? Weird. You have root at the mo?? On HC???

If you do then when you get a OTA prompt, you can download but not install. Then extract from /Cache/OTA/

Will post link when I find

First of all thanks.

Hmm so 003 and 002 are France. Maybe one is WIFI only noticed China has a WIFI only model.

And WOW that's alot of regions for 006 lol.

Will fix 005 link. Thanks again.

EDIT: http://info.update.sony.net/ST003/nbx02_005/contents/0005/signed-nbx02_005-ota-120510006.zip

Moved from folder 0003 to 0005. My guess would be Italy. As Italy and Germany have new files due to 3G issues on Tablet S.

Will also update Germany.

stifilz, i actually extraced the new verman update from cache. do u want it?

i barely cant do anything with it since i dont know if i can root the package with the aio-tool.
its just my insurance if something happens to my rooted hc 3.2.1.

damn :/ i really want a rooted ics instead.....

what if italy&germany are now the same?;)

Filename should do. Then I will find online.

If you have root at the mo, go ahead and preroot the update.

okay, its called " signed-nbx03_008-ota-120612005.zip " (about 230mb)

does prerooting the item mean, that if its not working, ill get a message, that it didnt work, instead by testing it due to a flash of the custom zip, which will destroy my root on hc (when it not correctly worked out)?

Edit,
just a problem, i tried pulling the update from the sdcard but aio doesnt recognize my external sd...even if the system does -___-

thx for your support guys ;) youre great :)

i actually manged to get it going. problem depended somehow on the drivers.
got a workaround by a complete reinstallation of the android sdk, and its components.

besides, if u got a x64 system, better get 64bit java aswell ;) (signing the package didnt work with 32bit java on my 64bit win7)

---

what i´ve reached so far: with the wonderful aio 4.0 i managed to get the android 4.0.3 release 2 (germany) rooted and installed ;)

if someone nedds help regarding this , i may can help aswell, but the rockers in this are definately condi & stifilz :good:

i will post info about the kernel in this ( or just my?) update tomorrow.
and some pics? (if anyone want some)

tell me - you had new ICS recovery already, and auto-flashing should work - was it flashing fully automatic?

need to know all details if AiO v4.0 worked without problems,
or do I need to change some details ;)

If you dont have root now then you cant preroot ics r2. The update however improves 3g quality.
It is the same as the link above

everything worked out quite smooth.
outgoing situation was my honeycomb 3.2.1 r2 with kernel 8.
i rooted it with your tool ;)
then i turned on the backdoor, just in case.

i got the message of the ota 4.0.3r2 and downloaded it ota and putted it in the sd-card.

well, besides the little driver-based problem (in case of the sdcard and AIO) and that you need Java RE 64bit (at least on a 64bit system), which didnt let me do a automatic flash ( i had to manually sign the update then, but that was totally awesome smooth, with the right Jre), everything was okay.

a little problem i encountered was that my 14-15mb "safe-install zip (the update file which fails so it can communicate with AIO) wasnt called "_hack_recovery" instead of just "înstall.zip" (got a bit confused on that ;P)

after that, running the custom zip and seeing your intro, everything was totally awesome :) :good:

ics and superuser installed ;) then i made a factory reset. ( wondered a bit because then i was on HC back, but after a restart i was on the rooted ics again)

in short, i didnt really do alot of things (until the sign, which failed because of jre)
just read the instructions on aio, little manually restart to recovery here and there, and choosing the right zips
did the job for me. thanks man, your AIO IS AWESOME! ^^

@tasar I was in the complete same situation. prerooting did the job for me, i know it can be confusing in the part where there are comments of users who got a kernel -switch to something like 10 , which isnt rootable. Tbh i dont know if this depends on unique tabs or the updates. Atm i would say, the german update uses kernel 5 ( at least for me), which is rootable as long as you preroot the update before install.

But my problem, my S wasnt rooted before OTA Update so i cant prerooted it :( After the last OTA Update (fixed O2 Data problem) the kernel was #5.
I have the hope that everyone from the devs are able to root a non prerooted ICS 4.0.3. I would pay for that! because i hate the non writeable sd_card and some other things which can only be changed with root.

Totti

P.S. Sorry for my kiddy englisch ;)

then we have to change the question in a different way : where is the possibility to install the prerooted zip on your ics. downloading the update should work obviously thx to stifilz. but i dont know the part of signing and installing the custom package (in this case). sorry :/
