Did it throw back a SKU mismatch error?, that is most likely the case.Hi,
I've a big problem and can't find any solution.
I've a Sony Xperia Tab SGPT121FR/S, I'm from France... Completely sock no root nothing!!
One week ago my tablet suddenly stop and when i try to start this one can't start, boot-loop on SONY XPERIA and stop again.
I try to reset factory by pressing 10s start button and then by recovery but nothing!!
I DL the 2 available txs_03_303 for Xperia s tab FR/S and try to update by recovery on SD card but impossible, update stop with "installation aborted".
Please help me i'm over warranty!!
Sorry for my bad English as you can see i'm from France.
Regards
Stéph.

Anyways looks like your device is corrupted and OTA update won't install. Please see Q&A forum, there is thread about recovering bricked device. You would need to download Sony's recovery SD-card image using which you could reflash stock firmware to your device.
So...in a nutshell, Sony does "not" support their devices, hence why I unloaded my Xperia Tab S a lo g time ago and why I will never buy another Sony branded anything! There are no Jelly Bean (Android OS Version 4.1.x) firmware releases for the Sony Tablet S. Android OS Version 4.0.3 Release 5a is the last firmware release for the Sony Tablet S. No future firmware updates are expected.
The files are encrypted and are to be used as is. Trying to extract their contents will get you nowhere.Excuse me, i'm downloading Firmware of Italy and Spain, or others and always the zip it can't be extracted. Why?
Thanks.

[?] FAQ [?] Please Read Here FirstOkay, but I putted the file into the SD card, and when I'm entering into the recovery mode, and in the menu of load a firmware from sd card, the tablet doesn't found any firmware.
Sorry for my bad english, and thanks for your answer.
I did that:
Make sure your SD card is formatted as FAT32.I did that:
Q. I am a noob, how do I install (flash) these update zips that everyone is talking about?
A. Good question, firstly go to here for current files or here for my 4Shared older zips.
Then copy file(s) to sd card, turn off tab, insert SD card, hold VOL UP and turn tablet on by pressing POWER button
but keep holding VOL UP until recovery menu, then use UP and DOWN keys to navigate and POWER button to select.
Recovery Menu > Update System From SD Card > signed-...............
In recovery menu appears: E:failed to mount /sdcard (no such file or directory)
The tablet can't mount /cache, and a lot of more things.
Thanks.
It is in FAT32, but the tablet doesn't mount anything, and in the recovery he shows a lot of errors under menu.Make sure your SD card is formatted as FAT32.
It would be helpful if you would provide more information like the tablet's model number, its current firmware version, and the file name of the firmware version you are trying to install. It is in FAT32, but the tablet doesn't mount anything, and in the recovery he shows a lot of errors under menu. What can i do? any other recovery or other tool? Thanks!
The tablet is a Sony Xperia S SGPT114ES/S, i'm trying to put signed-nbx03_010-ota-121116072.zip Firmware (Spain/Italy), the current firmware i don't know. Here I attached two images of the problem. It would be helpful if you would provide more information like the tablet's model number, its current firmware version, and the file name of the firmware version you are trying to install.
The SGPT114 is a Sony Tablet S, not an Xperia Tablet S. The file you are trying to install, signed-nbx03_010-ota-121116072.zip, is the correct and latest firmware for your tablet. The tablet is a Sony Xperia S SGPT114ES/S, i'm trying to put signed-nbx03_010-ota-121116072.zip Firmware (Spain/Italy), the current firmware i don't know.
