Yes. Get to the bootloader & follow my instructions in post #23.

I was able to install this successfully but for some reason, I am still not able to install any ROM on there. I am guessing I bricked my phone, correct? Any way I can just go back to stock. I just want to be able to use my phone again.

Which version are you trying to install? What ROM are you trying to install? What error are you getting when you try to flash?

While I'm at it, I thought I'd give a quick update. I installed the most recent version a couple of days ago. The only issue I found was with the charging animation when the phone is powered off. The animation still stays on and doesn't show the battery percentage, either. As I don't often charge with the phone powered off, this isn't really a big deal, at least to me. I was able to make and restore a backup, so no issues to report there. Thanks again for your work, Phil.

I don't have the phone in front of me because I left it at home and I am at work, but I installed the Philz version that would've been available two weeks ago. I tried installing VipeROM. I even tried installing CM 10. I don't remember the errors I got. I wish there was an easy way to log the errors.

Would this help me or would it be better for to find out what the errors are before proceeding? http://qbking77.com/how-to-unroot/unrootunbrick-the-htc-evo-4g-lte/

thanks a lot for the feedback
Unless there is real interest from others, I am delaying the charger fix as I am busy
It is just I need to update my home builder for this exception and not break hole s4-common device tree

I need to build for +130 devices now...

You need to provide the info I'm asking for. Your phone isn't bricked, yet, anyhow.

I hope this helps. This is the screenshot I took while trying to install ViperROM. I also got an error about being unable to mount SDCARD0 (Internal SD Card) earlier, but I couldn't replicate it when I had my camera handy.

I don't know what CM is on there per se but the problems started when I tried to install the CM 10.2 Jewel version
Click on "Philz Settings" in the recovery menu, then click "About". The build version will be shown at the bottom of the screen. Please post that info here.

Also, just to be clear. Your phone is the HTC EVO 4G LTE, correct?

You were asking about what version CM I was installing, right? When I go to Philz Settings>About, I get:

Philz Touch 6
CWM Base version: v. 6.0.4.6
Philz Touch 6
Build Version: 6.08.9 - Evo 4G LTE
Compiled Jan 4 2014 at 22:41:28

Yes, I have the HTC EVO 4G LTE

Not sure what the issue is, then. Perhaps Phil can chime in with something. Other than that, you can try using TWRP recovery, instead.

I went from TWRP to Philz in the hope that I could recover/reflash successfully but obviously without success.

He first should read FAQ for assert errors
There is an option in latest version to bypass assert for device name, but can cause other issues

All is well explained in the FAQ

Easiest is to remove the assert line for device name

He seems also to be using an aroma installer rom. Until author starts updating aroma installer and file manager more actively, they are going to die as google os is updated

I object to the FAQ being well explained. Not very helpful to me as a noob. As much as I appreciate programmers' efforts in building stuff, it's FAQs like this that upset me. It's like programmers expect noobs to understand everything they know as well as they do. I guess I am screwed.

Anyone have a link to this? I would use TWRP but I my touchscreen is not responsive in the lower part of the screen so unable to "swipe to flash" Hopefully this recovery will allow to use volume up/down + power to flash.
