I remember RAM doubler for computers. This is a long long time ago, it came out in the end, they were just a scam. I don't like software that says it extends memory, battery etc, when it itself sits in memory making threads, taking up memory etc. I might be wrong but smoke n mirrors.

Every time anyone posts a question about JuiceDefender, you will get a bunch of hater replies but, yes, it works fine on the Galaxy Nexus.

Well .... the naysayers can say what they like. I run it on my Charge and I un-plugged the phone around 11a eastern yesterday @ 100% charge. I used the phone several time yesterday, took and placed calls, read some twitter and facebook, googled some things, it sat overnight on my end table and it was still at 58% charge here @ 7:30 the next morning.

That was un-heard of before I started running JD Ultimate..... Just Sayin .....

If you read how juice defender works, you will understand that it can and does work, but only noticeable improvements come from periods of none use of the phone, longer periods more savings

Works fine with my gnex, get good battery savings on work days, not so much on weekends, all comes down to usage

Umm ... yeah... wasn't THAT long ago. I was a field service engineer, repairing computers in the late '70's. This was before the advent of the desktop computer and pc, systems were the size of your refridgerator. A 10 MB hard drive platter was larger than a vinyl LP record and RAM was 'Static RAM' coils.

So .... I go back a few 24hrs with technology myself. And I am here to tell you JD works terrific on my Charge. As stated above, where you see the improvement is in the idle/sleep state. JD shuts almost everything down to minimize battery usage. Obviously, it isn't going to 'extend' your battery during moderate to heavy usage.

I used it all the time on my Bionic, but I've gotten better results without it on my nexus. Your mileage may vary, of course.

I have noticed under partial wakelocks the JD service is always leading the list on my Nexus. Not sure if I get better battery life with or without it (still playing).

Remember jd does wake the phone every 10mins or so to activate data to check for emails etc, that would be why its there

Cracks me up the people that slam apps that have never tried them or even read on them.

JuiceDefender works and as with many things your benefits will vary depending on your usage. On my old incredible JD showed 1.6x battery life which was also represented in the time it lasted. If your in a place with poor signal like a building all day for work it can make a big difference. It does have down falls if you depend on exchange email or etc as apps that require data can be delayed.

So far for me the Nexus appears to have much better battery life than the incredible so I'm going without it for now.
