You're post is just ignorant. It clearly shows that you're a samsunk fanboy lol.

Firstly, all the features you listed for S8, are mostly gimmicks.

1.) Curve display is NOT practical. When you are viewing media in horizontal position the top and bottom curves are cut off and there is glare on those curves. Secondly, the side black bars kick in, so those pixels are useless.

2.) Pixel XL has best display with brightness in sunlight too. I played with it too. S8 isn't that brightest from my experience.

3.) That certification means nothing Lol. Samsung paid them money which they get it off consumers with higher price and its just marketing.

4.) No device can't be water "proof". You clearly need to learn some physics and chemistry here. Device is water resisted for certain length and for a limited time. Dust resistance is only rated.

5.) This Grolla Glass 5 is just bs. All of these version scratch easily. In real world, it breaks and scratches easily.

6.) Wireless charging is only useful for few people. Pixel XL charges pretty fast. When I had S8, it was charging fast, but not that fast :). G6 charged faster tbh.

7.) You get 128GB model for Pixel; which is faster and better.

8.) Sorry to burst your bubble buddy, S8 has the WORST camera and quality pictures. Many thorough reviewers have shown this already. Pixel XL with HDR takes BEST detailed low light pictures, and any other lighting conditions. The colours are clear and more real. S8 saturates and washes out the colours. The pictures look cartoonish. Pixel XL lacks OIS, but it is the best camera currently, even S8 can't beat it :). Pixel has better sharpness.

9.) there are no Bluetooth 5.0 devices and when they are available, the higher price won't justify many common users to purchase it. So there is no use of it.

10.) Always on Display is on Pixel, it can be added. There is the downside of battery drain.

11.) Lol, only select cell phone providers can take advantage of LTE; 4CA. Maybe one carrier in USA and other world's country. Pixel has LTE; 3CA, which is great. Also, the amount of data that will be gone given how much bandwidth is allowed. So not much advantage.

12.) Not everyone, majority of people care about Samsung pay tbh. It's still a minority of people.

13.) This is the most flawed and useless feature ever. Also, there are side-effects to your retina while using this. Again, it is for stupid sheeps to buy into this type of security.

14.) Lol, any serious person would never use these heart rate monitor. They are never accurate. Plus, your health data is stored into samsung servers and such.

15.) This desktop experience is not even ready. There are many bugs and apps not working properly.

16.) Bixby and its pathetic button there.

Pixel XL is great phone. I never had battery issues. I never had network issues. I never had call drops or signal drop issues. I have been samsung user since S4 days and let me tell you one thing. It is a piece of crap device. I had serious signal issues with WiFi, Cellular Network, slow speeds, lagging, and crap battery. The current S6 device, I have ZERO LTE bars. I had dropped calls, and couple of times I can't even hear the other person's voice. There are times when I needed to make a call , but couldn't. S6 has a known weak network signal issue. I can't even get Wifi @ 5GHZ on S4, S6, and same issue with S8 lol. Even 3T device could easily connect to 5GHZ wifi at the same location with full bars. Pixel XL had the best reception and signal strength. S4, S6, and S8 are the worst.

I have more exposure to samsung devices. What you said is just utter nonsense.

Pixel XL is still an amazing device and you won't be disappointed.

Lmao I really enjoyed reading your post man..I even showed it to some people and made them laugh. Seriously man you said he is clearly a sammy fanboy but you are worse than him..if you want to defend your lovely pixel phone so bad, at least make some valid points..saying what normal person would want to check their heart rate and that it is going to get stored in their servers is just plain dumb..I think you need to read up more about the phone so you can start facing reality

I've never used a Google Nexus/Pixel before, because there are no samples in my region that I can have a run.

Is it true that the Pixel will remain buttery smooth throughout its entire lifespan (say 3 years) and is better than its competitors like Samsung in preventing rogue apps from mysteriously draining the battery over time?

I've been using Samsung all along and frankly quite tired of doing mods just to keep it fast, smooth, low-battery sucking, just like iPhone.

The only reason I've not jumped over to the Apple camp is because of the drag and drop functionality that Apple lacks.

Will the Pixel be very comparable to the iPhone in all aspects?

What will I lose (other than obvious things like the screen) by jumping from S8 to Pixel?

Lastly, when will Pixel 2 be out? Should I hold my breath for it? More interested in camera improvements.
I will trade you straight up for my 128gb pixel XL if your on VZW

Count me as another going back to the Pixel XL coming from the S8+. Beautiful phone, but laggy trash as usual from Samsung.
That's the problem with Samsung. They have the nicest designs and hardware but they just can't get the hardware right! Is it that hard? They just need to use vanilla Android and just develop regular apps...

The hardware is close except fingerprint imo. It's the weird aspect ratio that doesn't work with anything and their software lags behind and this coming from somebody who's used every Galaxy and note since S3 and note 2. I tried my best to get behind the s8 but I cannot. Too much too get used too. Google doesn't make me feel like that. I seamlessly went from Nexus 6 to 6p to pixel. No weird adjustments just a normal phone lol

I also got the S8 and went back to the Pixel. For me they were really close overall each with their own strengths and weaknesses but as they were so close I couldn't justify the upgrade since the Pixel is just as good in it's own ways. That said if I was buying one or the other and didnt have my old Pixel to revert to I wouldn't be buying a new Pixel at today's prices. Value for money I think the S8 wins hands down. Not to mention the used values on Pixels seems to be dropping like a stone. I would however consider buying a used Pixel over a new S8 for the right price if I were in that predicament.

S8 is junk

The problem with samsung phones atleast current models is while you get system updates. Touchwiz never gets updated and becomes extremely laggy. In the past when i had tmobile it wasn't an issue cause i could get around that with custom roms and custom recovery where devs updated and optimized touchwiz or ported touchwiz from more recent galaxy phones while now all galaxy phones are bootloader locked even on tmobile. My last samsung phone was a note 4 and the last samsung phone i will ever own. With the pixel xl i haven't really felt the need to mod as much besides an audio mod for my beats studio wireless headphones. Samsung is now nothing more than a cheap imitation of an iphone. With a locked bootloader you might as well just have an iphone.

Had the S8+ for a week, and there's a lot I liked about the phone. But I just kept wanting to come back to the Pixel XL. I though the water resistance, wireless charging and microSD card slot (as well as my love for the Note 7) would be enough to get back on a Samsung device, but there's just something about the Pixel XL.

One big thing I couldn't get used to versus the XL was the camera. The camera on the S8+, especially in low light, falls short of the Pixel. I took over one hundred shots with both, and I only preferred the S8+ image on less than 10 (all of which were outdoors in bright light).

I went the other way I refunded my S8 and bought a Pixel XL - several reasons:
1. Input lag is still really bad on Samsung phones
2. Updates - looking at Android O - Honestly it will take like 1 year for the update to come to S8
3. Screen of the S8 novelty wore off after a few days, its a really strange resolution videos look weird.

I sent mine back yesterday as well. It's an incredible phone, and I'll miss it but for the few hundred I'll lose selling my Pixel, it wasn't worth it. Camera, updates, software are still better on the Pixel. Plus, with my old s7e the battery life was incredible with the first update, but every new update it had the battery got worse and worse. I can see the same thing happening with the s8.
