I'm having a difficult time deciding between the two still, as it turns out.
I bought another Pixel XL and received it over the weekend, but it's really strange/difficult adjusting to the smaller display. It's definitely easier to use when reaching top UI elements, but otherwise I really appreciate the insane amount of reading/scrolling real-estate the S8+ provides. Pixel is definitely smoother than my S8+, but it's not freezing up or anything, only dropping frames, and that could get improved upon with updates later on. But the S8 is faster in terms of raw performance and load times. Cameras are mostly neck & neck... but Pixel does edge out slightly, especially with dynamic range. I love Samsung Pay, AOD, and some of the system added features Samsung puts in, but stock Android will always be my preference.
Not really sure what to do. Today is my last chance to return the S8+, but I feel like doing so would be a downgrade in some ways. Forever wishing for the day the perfect phone is made... maybe the Pixel 2 will finally deliver.
