do you use zram?
which i/o scheduler did you choose?
cluster-size of fat32 and ext-partition?

Can we use this 4Ext recovery Nand as a total replacement of the CWM recovery with no issue flashing my old but favorite GB Nand Rom plus flashing the NativeSD ROMs available these days?TheGrandmasterb
FIRST PLEASE BACKUP UR CURRENT ROM and SDCARD DATA SO INCASE OF SOME PROBLEM U CAN RESTORE AND CONTINUE USING IT

Sent from my HTC HD2 using xda app-developers app
Not entirely sure but I think it is possible. The developer madmaxx developed it for htc desire I think and said it is 100% compatible. But I don't know if its the same on HD2 as I have never tried/tested it.
How do you remove the google search widget? Nothing happens when I hold it.

i use 4ext.. and have no problems...
BUT if you have a backup of clockworkmod... you can not restore it with 4ext... you have to do a backup with 4ext and you can restore that backup.
Hello Tytung
I think you have a little mistake un updater-script, when you want to wipe data before install :
should beCode:format("yaffs2", "MTD", "data");
Code:format("yaffs2", "MTD", "userdata");

earlier, even i faced serious force closed issues. I guess depends on how the SD card & Kernel deals with the I/O.
logically higher SD read ahead is advised for performance. but what i observed is, higher Read-ahead is creating maximum I/O waits (IOW),
may be because of time taken in reading a larger chunk of data for single I/O operation for a single thread (when not available in cache, data is read from SD again), causing FC issues on all other waiting threads. again it depends on how the SD card deals with simultaneous I/O requests. I am currently running at 256K read-ahead (Even for class 10) and not 8192 (as advised many a times). Even though this gives me a bit lower speed for SD R/W in benchmarks, IOW lags have reduced drastically. Also, I/O scheduler plays a role in it. Search for kernel schedulers in the forum and there is a lot of stuff to explain how schedulers work. for me DEADLINE works best with 256K.
Also i have observed from use, SmartassV2 is creating more lags in the new JB kernel (no lags in ICS kernel). As of now, i am on Smartass.
Tytung can you please check on this, if anything has changed related to governors in the new JB kernel?
