Yes please. Thanks again for making a custom version of your module ❤️
This rom has a highly edited SystemUI so I was not able to transfer over the notification shade mod, but everything else should be working....if it boots...lol. Sorry cant test on my end so you will be the tester as well. All my mods were easily transferable (besides the one mentioned above) so it should boot, but always be prepared for worst case scenario. Let me know how it goes.

The phone boots and background color modifications are working! Changes to the grid layout and number of dock icons don't seem to be having an effect, though. The dock also seems to be "shifted down" a little, too.

Quick update. Apktool has had some significant updates but it is still impossible to fully decompile framework-res.apk from the March or April OTAs. Not sure when the issue will be resolved but I'm on top of any updates from apktool. For now the best I can do/say is try other mods or launchers. This mod will be updated when it is possible to update it. Thank you all for your patience.

Just stopping by to say I have not forgotten about this mod. Apktool is making headway but it still has a way to go. If I have some time this coming weekend I will look into a slimmed down version of this that does not depend on framework-res but at the cost of some customizations. Thank you for your patience.

Damn you got the beefy 3090, I have the i7-12700kf w/DDR5 and the Nvidia RTX 3060ti.
Yeah I had it paired with an i9-11900k. My old motherboard died on me and decided to upgrade but didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for ddr5, since the 3090 had already left me crippled 😂. So i7 w/ddr4 seemed a good compromise since I was not originally planning to upgrade for another 2-3 years. The 12700k will outperform the 11900k and I get to reuse my ddr4 memory. Redoing the loop as well since I'm now more comfortable bending the tubes.

Does your i7 run hot under load or do you have adequate cooling?

No idea. Have not booted up with the i7. From my understanding it should be about the same as the 11900k. I'll know for sure once I get it up and running sometime next week. I do have a 360mm, a 480mm and a 140mm rad on the loop so cooling should be adequate. Going on vacation on Friday and won't have time to finish the build until I get back.

I already use many of the features mentioned by using the tried and true legacy apex launcher. It still works great! I've been using it forever, and can barely use the pixel launchers anymore.
That's great! This just gives people who want to stick with the default launcher options. That's the great thing about the android ecosystem. We've got options. Thanks for stopping by!

Got a bit of good news and a bit of bad news. First off I'm able to successfully slim down the mod. We will only loose app drawer, folder, and notification background color options. The bad news...Google made some significant changes to some things and it will take me a while to figure them out, especially with the home screen searchbar. Hopefully I will have something out later today or tomorrow.

Hello, thanks for your efforts @eg1122. I just installed this on my OnePlus 5T Pixel experience OS 12 and it seems like it's working. I wanted to remove at a glance from my home screen but it seems there isn't an option for it. Are you planning to add this feature?
At a glance was rewritten and I have not been able to figure out how to remove it. There is another mod that lets you swap out at a glance for another widget that works along with this mod. Pixel Launcher Mod. I would use that to at least put a widget of your choosing.

Oh hai!, especially miggsr, it's been a while my friend.

This debate is very interesting, but I think it's run its course. Substratum can cause problems on a phone. Duh. Everything on this site can cause problems on your phone. That's the whole point of XDA! To learn, to push devices to their limits.

Android would be nowhere near as awesome had they not kanged all the good ideas from the developers at XDA. You couldn't even restart a phone on stock Android back in the day, only shutdown. XDA people added it to their custom ROMs and magically it was added by Google.

As for trust, and overlays, and keylogging, and such, again, that can happen on almost anything here. I've flashed plenty of custom ROMs in my day, but only did so from trusted sources. Because I'm basically trusting that developer to do the right thing and trusting the community will point out when they aren't.

Pixel Tweaks might have trouble on the Pixel 6. Not surprising, the device is brand new as is Android 12. The developer is fixing what needs fixing and helping people figure out what's wrong with their device when Pixel Tweaks isn't the problem. Great! Just what we hope XDA is used for.

So, let's move on from the debate about Substratum Lite and continue focusing on Pixel Tweaks. If you want to discuss the merits of Substratum for this device, please create your own thread somewhere else.

I'm subscribing to this thread so please let's be on our best behavior. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to send me a PM.
