I have been using my head unit for a few weeks now, and the GPS has up til now worked OK, finding maybe 20 satellites in less than a minute. For the last few days it has taken about 15 minutes for the satellites to be found. Anyone else experienced this? Any possible solutions?

Is there anywhere an option that the head unit is starting faster. I have set the sleep option on but the unit needs a really long time till the launcher shows up (it doesn't matter if it's the Car Launcher Pro or FCC Launcher).

You could also try to add your navigation app and the Google TTS engine. This helps to continue your ride with navigation after a short pit stop...

Hi, I had the same issue, I followed this steps to fix it:
- on your phone, go to bluetooth settings, edit the settings for your Junsun device, and disable Media audio.
Hello yes it is possible that it uses the canbus me the brown cable leaves from the car radio connector to the canbus connector and I did not know that it had to be cut to connect it to the wire which comes from the reverse gear! I have the 4Glite V1 pro from Junsun a real hassle even the Internet is slow 10 minutes to download an application from Google play
I think your can box is translating the can information "reverse gear" and gives 12V+ to the brown trigger wire.
You could try to bypass the can box if you have another source for the brown reverse wire. E.g. a cable from the reverse light or your cars wiring harness provides a BACK signal. You could also use a multimeter to check if the can box provides this signal delayed.
Please be aware that a crazy mixture of topics may prevent people from answering you, if they can't answer all questions or if it's too time consuming. Always cut the elephant in prices.
I expected that you have a Junsun V1 Pro with Mtk8257 CPU because that's the title of the thread. Did you performed an update to the latest December 2022 firmware? It's the best fw I tried and improves performance - especially after disabling Junsun Security app.

Additionally you could check if the applications on your phone have the permission to autostart. Had this problem with a Xiaomi phone.

Ok I will see the applications because I have a xiaomi 11T and for the firmware I installed it from a link of the seller which brought me back to your site and I took the one of December 20 install without problem finally almost I no longer have the original Iglo gps good no problem I use waze and I no longer have Aix assistant supplied as standard so I spoke to the seller about it who gave me another firmware which dates from December 26 I have not tried yet I will see this weekend! Thank you for your help, that's nice of you!
You're welcome. Be happy to get rid of the navigation app shipped with the device. I've written with the software vendor and he confirmed that this is an illegal pirated software. Junsun is not allowed to sell its devices with the navigation app.

Is there any way to trigger blank screen from steering wheel? (Not like the "on/off" option of SWC, but like the moon icon in the android status bar.) If not with the stock launcher then with another launcher or app (like AppSwitcher)?
A more general question: Is there any solution to get the max out from steering wheel controls? I mean SWC of this HU offers 18 options PLUS there are a lot of apps to launch-switch-control PLUS some activities to deal with (blank screen for example). Meanwhile I have a maximum of 3 steering wheel control buttons to sacrifice.
I think AppSwitcher may be the closest one, but honestly, after spinning through all its topic pages, I'm still not sure what it is exactly capable of.

Not with the options the head unit offers by default. The stock launcher is garbage an can do nothing. Just show a non changeable picture of a sports car.
No. The head unit does not allow to configure things like "long press", "double press". If you use a can box you even can't configure the SWC at all.
Okay, let's start it over, it may need more explanation.
In the defense of the stock launcher I suspect some hidden development happened here, so I see now 8 "skins", without the stupid car animation. One of them looks promising, offering ten app shortcuts on each page and a big button to blank the screen.
I've mentioned that I have 3 buttons to sacrifice. Now they are assigned as 1) back 2) home screen 3) off. Combining it with the above mentioned skin I can pretty much switch to any application by 2 clicks.
My two biggest problems currently are
- VLC stops playing, Android Auto disconnects, ... when I invoke "off"
- I need to poke the touchscreen too

Could be a good idea to check if ACC and B+ aren't swapped.
I think I've seen somewhere in the 8878 menu an AC setting. Maybe it helps to turn it off. Don't know if it was in Others or Menu Icons section.
Another approach would be to disable the AC activity via an ADB command so Android blocks its execution.
The head unit has an ILL pin. If you turn on your cars lights the ILL provides a 12V+ signal. Sure, you could also connect ACC from OEM radio connector to ILL input of the head unit to always turn on the button background illumination.
Absolutely correct. But maybe your cars SWC is realized by a resistance matrix which gets exposed to the OEM radio connector. In this case you can bypass the can box, use the KEY1/KEY2 pins of your head unit and so the learning function.
You could also check if the not recognized buttons get logged (logcat reader). In this case you could use AppSwitcher app for this buttons.

In 8878 menu, you have a setting for AC type, or something like this. You have one fullscreen option (that I hate too), and two aditional bars on bottom of display; choose ac type (or something like this) 2.11@galaxynexus789 you must enter to advanced setup (8878 code) and enable AA/Car play and phone link.
First USB is 3.0 (there you will Connect phone), second is 2.0 for USB flashdisk
In advanced setup you can change boot logo to your car brand too

As soon as there are +12 V on the reverse wire your should see the rear view camera app with a black screen (if rear view camera signal is not connected).

They told me the same thing and it's not true, I can do tethering by bt. I copy and paste from a post that I put pages back, I hope it helps you.
My headunit is a kapud mtk8257, but it is very similar to Junsun V1 Pro.
In 90% of the cases, if before connecting the bluetooth on the mobile I am already allowing tethering (phone) automatically the headunit picks up the internet from the mobile.
But other times I have to force it: the button is "hidden", once connected to the phone, go into settings, click on the magnifying glass/search engine, look for "previously connected devices", click on your phone, and you will see that one of the buttons is "allow internet connection" or something similar.
PS: I have the radio in Spanish language, but the name of the menus should be like this, or similar.2
Today I applied the Firmware Stock update procedure. The procedure was successful and the tablet works ok. It remains to put it back in the car and see how it behaves in tests. This was possible for the two users who thank them once again: djborsi and TorstenH. I removed the tablet from the car and made the connections to be able to work with a + 12V DC / 220v power supply. For those who want to power it separately from the car, I put some pictures after the procedure and a wiring diagram. I made a video with the FW update procedure. Because I noticed that the tablet heats up a lot, I mounted a 12V / DC fan, It has the size 70X70mm. and thickness 15 mm. It was from an old CPU cooler. It is fastened at the back with 4 screws as seen in the photo. I put a 40 Ohm series resistor. to reduce speed and noise. I hope that what I posted here will bring a little help to those interested.
