So overall do you guys recommend this HU?

4gb+64gb on android 11 for Suzuki Swift or should I look for a different brand. I do really like the screen size tho, 9 inch is perfect.

I think there is no perfect Android head unit available and the seller support is really really bad.
But the Junsun V1 Pro with! 4G is one of the head units you have a chance to get help here in XDA.

Fly over this thread and you get an idea which problems may occur.
Here is one more: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/junsun-v1-pro-megathread.4385315/

Because the head unit laggs of features that are important for me, I even created my own app:

And let me mention that Junsun sells different variants of the Junsun V1 Pro with different CPUs and different firmware. Junsun is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get.

Yea, im thinking it might be worth the risk. Can't find anything in the market with this much features under £200. Ive already talked about the screen size but 4gb ram, android auto and 4G is a hugh selling point for me.

I wont be putting any camares, and also wont be installing DAB so hopefully less issue for me.

Here is the link, hope its not dodgy.

Does anybody have a link for this zip file?

You can find it in the thread below. I added additional Proxy-Apps as you can see in first post. I espacially suggest EqualizerShell and Reboot.

Don't forget to try AppSwitcher:

Hi all.
Since i got the HU (1 week) and installed in a CRV 2015 1,6 Diesel everything went smooth.
The HU works as it is supposed to be.
There are some questions i would like to ask to some of the more experienced users.
I noticed that every time i turn on the unit (by turning the key in the ignition) wether its in sleep mode or not as soon as i turn on also the FM radio the sound seems like it is coming from the center of earth :) and within seconds it returns to the adjustments that been saved according to my taste.
My question is : Does the system boots and leaves sound settings for last in the boot sequence hense i got this phenomenon or is it a bug of the system? ( been a bug wouldnt surprise me !!)
The second question is:
I noticed in the app menu there is a appinstaller application.
Once you run it it shows all installed apps.
Within there is junsun security and voise service and application.
If i manage (let's say the system allows me) to unistall those 3 anoying "memory eating" apps would that have an impact in the general function of the HU.
I read somewere (i think TorstenH mentioned it few pages ago!!!) that junsunsecurity app takes control of some more functions and if it's uninstalled that might have consequencies in the general good function of the unit.
is that true? I realy hate to hear EVERY TIME this robocop armed electronic sound of this useless robot which reminds me Terminator 1 moovie (yes i know i am that old!!!) :)

FYI my system is junsun v1 pro (6/128)
build number : full_825X_Pro
thanks in advance for your answers

Updating the head unit to latest 2023 firmware may help. Whereby I'm using DAB instad of FM so I can't say if this will fix the issue.

You can't uninstall Junsun security (at least not without deleting it from system / vendor partition. But you can disable it in settings. No risk doing that because my reset was caused by some experiments 😁
You can do it directly after update so what should go wrong? 😉

Never headed robocop. Maybe because deactivating Junsun security is always one of the first config steps.

Then you should try my app AppSwitcher.

I will give it a shot this Saturday!!! (HU week play day!!!!).
Another question i have and which wasn't solved since day 1 i got the HU.
Runinng the radio there is also RDS. When i choose to store my favorite station I press long time
over one memory possition and it stores the station but instead of the frequency it stores
whatever the RDS text was shown at the specific momement.
Ths doesn't bothers me as much (i tent to wait untill the radio title is shown and then i store the station because it looks better to my taste -compulsive behaviour :) :) )
The problem is that when i change radio station through another memory possition the title of previous memory is changed to the last rds message the stored station was transmiting-like memory registration is permanently open.
I attached a video because sometimes the image is more powerfull than words.
Any solution to this problem?????

Hello!I'm new to the forum, I don't have this device yet, I'll get Junsun V1 PRO 4g/64 soon.I wanted to find out if it makes sense to freeze unnecessary applications using ADBAppControl. Will this speed up the operation of the device?

It's sufficient to uninstall app updates and disable the app in Android settings. But it will never be a performance rocket 🚀

Hi could some one help me, so when I use the factory fitted backup camera to display correctly. All I see is this..
    It's a nissan Qashqai J10.
You could try to change video format in factory settings (code 8878, section Others). There should be the possibly to switch from/to PAL, NTSC and maybe more.

    Hi!
I would like to turn on the radio without putting it in the car yet and configure it like this. If I connect the red cable from the quadlock and the black one to a 12v and 2A transformer, will I be able to use it normally or do I also need to connect some other cable? Thank you
You just need to connect B+ and ACC to the positive output, GND to the negative output of your 12V power supply.

Junsun V1 pro won't save settings
    So far i've tried:
Adding USB drive as Android space, also as travel media for music
    Reset
    Update to v61
Manual save to USB drive via 5555 code
Manual save to SD does not work
After restart head unit loses radio stations, equalizer settings

Car is Peugeot 207, Junsun V1 Pro with 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM
    Any tips are welcome

    Thanks!,
So it's the red, and yellow that go to the positive and the black to the negative. That red comes to the input connector to the radio from the cambus while the other two come directly from the quadlock.
So I have to connect the positive of the transformer to that red just before the input connector, right?

Connect pin 8 and pin 15 to the positive (+) output and pin 16 to the negative (-) output of your power supply (transformator).

CAN box connection is not needed to start the head unit.

I don't like to talk about wire colors because they may be not identical for different harnesses.

Use at your own risk !!!!

    8888 - restricted settings menu
8878 - full settings menu. Mostly what you're looking for.

    So my question are:

    1) Is this a v1pro radio?

    2) Someone has the same problem with the camera or knows what is happening?

    3) There is any update for this radio?

    Thanks for your help

As soon as there are +12 V on the reverse wire your should see the rear view camera app with a black screen (if rear view camera signal is not connected).

I think you have this device:

Not a V1 pro with an old android version.

I just received a reply from JunSun support that it's not possible to connect Internet through Bluetooth in the unit. The only option is mobile hotspot after all
They told me the same thing and it's not true, I can do tethering by bt. I copy and paste from a post that I put pages back, I hope it helps you.

My headunit is a kapud mtk8257, but it is very similar to Junsun V1 Pro.

In 90% of the cases, if before connecting the bluetooth on the mobile I am already allowing tethering (phone) automatically the headunit picks up the internet from the mobile.
But other times I have to force it: the button is "hidden", once connected to the phone, go into settings, click on the magnifying glass/search engine, look for "previously connected devices", click on your phone, and you will see that one of the buttons is "allow internet connection" or something similar.
PS: I have the radio in Spanish language, but the name of the menus should be like this, or similar.

    Firmware installed in meantime?
Today I applied the Firmware Stock update procedure. The procedure was successful and the tablet works ok. It remains to put it back in the car and see how it behaves in tests. This was possible for the two users who thank them once again: djborsi and TorstenH. I removed the tablet from the car and made the connections to be able to work with a + 12V DC / 220v power supply. For those who want to power it separately from the car, I put some pictures after the procedure and a wiring diagram. I made a video with the FW update procedure. Because I noticed that the tablet heats up a lot, I mounted a 12V / DC fan, It has the size 70X70mm. and thickness 15 mm. It was from an old CPU cooler. It is fastened at the back with 4 screws as seen in the photo. I put a 40 Ohm series resistor. to reduce speed and noise. I hope that what I posted here will bring a little help to those interested.
