I just received a reply from JunSun support that it's not possible to connect Internet through Bluetooth in the unit. The only option is mobile hotspot after all
They told me the same thing and it's not true, I can do tethering by bt. I copy and paste from a post that I put pages back, I hope it helps you.

My headunit is a kapud mtk8257, but it is very similar to Junsun V1 Pro.

In 90% of the cases, if before connecting the bluetooth on the mobile I am already allowing tethering (phone) automatically the headunit picks up the internet from the mobile.
But other times I have to force it: the button is "hidden", once connected to the phone, go into settings, click on the magnifying glass/search engine, look for "previously connected devices", click on your phone, and you will see that one of the buttons is "allow internet connection" or something similar.
PS: I have the radio in Spanish language, but the name of the menus should be like this, or similar.

On Junsun V1 Pro with MTK8259 CPU it's definitively possible and so I created the app to be able to reach the corresponding Android setting directly.

The Chinese don't know their own device or are to lazy to give detailed information. They told me that it's not possible to show the Android status bar on top of apps installed by customer. And that's a lie, too.

Greetings, I have a small inconvenience. On two occasions, it randomly happened that the settings and the saved radio stations were deleted. I also found users on the net who are also struggling with this problem. Can you suggest a solution? It's not that disturbing, but if there is a solution, I'll gladly apply it.

Hi,
I own this model and by mistake some days ago I input the 9191 code ( destroy_id_root_num ).

Now I have the red text "device not activated" always on the screen.

I already upgraded it to the latest FW found above and the upgrade completed flawlessly, but the device still didn't activate.

I find out that the solution is as simple as to have a small file called "licence.dat" to be put on an usb stick and an internet connection.

this file contains only a small string of text.. something like

dUtXM3NyL0d2THdqUmtaTFNnPT0jMjAxODEyMDYwOTQ1NTQj##*161

( the above is for a 8227 device and didn't work )

Has someone here the needed file.. or even just the text string and I will edit the file by myself ?

or do you know some other way to solve the issue ?

;)

- This is the code for my variant Jusun 8259 , V1Pro 4GB\64GB\WiFi .

- dmZERXpiS3BJMHBPUWs4PSMyMDIwMTEzMDEwMjQxNyM=##*10000

- Read befor Acct: The Chinese technician asked me for a picture of the back of my device. Probably to make sure of the version I have. I posted the picture for those interested. I warn that the code should be written in Notepad format and the stick should be FAT32 formatted. I have also posted the film sent from China as well as the video I took unfortunately after the procedure. For me, things went more simply than what is seen in the Chinese one, that is, I proceeded exactly like this: After Fat32 formatting the stick and copying the code, with the device turned off, I inserted the memory stick into the USB 1 port, then I turned on the device, it opened (in my case) the loucher AGAMA and the window with options in Chinese appeared. I left it waiting without giving any command, and after 10-20 seconds another window appeared automatically with another inscription in Chinese, then the device turned off by itself and reopened and I found that I got rid of Device is No Activation. I want to point out that I have 4G with a SIM card, so the internet is permanent. In order for the procedure to succeed, you must have the device connected to the Internet, have a Hot Spot or Wifi. Otherwise, the procedure will not be successfully completed. I wish you patience and success.

Hi friend.
Did you resolved this problem?
Thanks
Hi
⦁ Prepare one USB disk and format it, copy all the firmware files to the USB disk, insert the USB disk to USB port.
⦁ Turn on the Android radio;
⦁ Please find a sharp stick to clik RST hole.
⦁ When you see Car logo on the screen, please ignition off and take out the key.
⦁ 5-10 second later, ignition on again, you will see green letters (update start) on the screen.
⦁ Wait for upgrade finish. Take out the USB disk and reboot the unit.

Hello guys,

I have a problem with Junsun V1 pro 4+64 radio that I recently purchased for my Golf mk6.

It is working fine but it is really, really slow.
Especially with google maps or youtube.
It feels like a 5yo mobile at least.
Everything is just lagging, no smooth motions, loading very long etc.

I've already tried factory reset, data cleaning and updating apps. Average RAM usage is under 2GB.

Has anyone of you faced similar issue and knows how to get rid of it?

Thanks :)

average ram is under 1GB I bet because your radio does not have 2GB or 4GB it is hardcoded number, actual RAM is 1GB shared with OS. There is only one solution for your issue. get your self better radio from reputable brand

bro, my friend has the same radio for Impreza GH and it works perfectly smooth. However, he has 8+128 version so I don't want to compare them directly.
Anyways, it seems like the other users of 4+64 version don't complain as much as I do so it must be something wrong with this particular one.

I have 2+32 and it is crap slow, plus the RAM never goes above 1GB which makes me believe it is just 1GB RAM radio even though it shows 2GB

Can you please share the "About Device" screen. Also any informational screens from cpuz, devicecheck, etc since it was observed that the system reports it is Android 12 . Thanks in advance.

Update: I managed to install this software on my Eonon 4gb/64gb unit (hw similar to Junsun) and glad to report it runs very well. Yes, it reports Android 12, but is really Android 9. It launches apps fast and smooth. Wired AA works flawlessly, so far.....

Hello,
I have the same Junsun V1 Pro, but I have a problem updatting..
It doesn't do anything when I insert the USB stick in my car. I already tried with many other USB sticks FAT32 formatted of course.

The first time when I bought the Junsun, I managed to update without problem, but now even if I do the same way, I cant.

It is recognized by the Junsun, but the update pop up doesnt come up.

Edit : (I've just downloaded the latest firmware posted by hackras (thank you), I'm gonna try within 15mns, even though I have no hope)

Any clue ?
Thanks!

you know how to explain to me how you did it because I have a Junsun V1 plus 4g /64 with android 12 but I can't.
    Okay let's run again.
    1. Take a picture with a resolution of 1280x720 dpi.
    2. Save .bmp (use palette color, no rgb!) or .png format.
    3. Copy the image to a portable USB flash drive.
    4. Start the head unit and connect the flash drive, click the gear on the start screen, ie the settings menu.
    5. Go to the car setup (second menu item)
    6. Choose the lowest menu: About the Device.
    7. Click on the right side of the gear and use this code: 5678
    8. On the left, click the second search icon.
    9. This is when the logo on the USB flash drive appears, which you made.
    10. Tap the logo, then save.
    11. Re -start the head unit. This is important because if you only turn the key, it won't start again, just sleep.
    12. If you did everything well, it will work.
I attach a model image, copy it to the USB Drive and try it. This is sure to work for me.

Hello I recently bought a Junsun 4g + 64gb version, and I'm having some trouble.

On my unit sleep mode doesn't work how it's supposed to, after about 30minutes when I try to start the radio it will long boot I would like to set it to 3day like I had it on my other junsun unit but there is no option like that, only on and off. I checked the wiring and red and yellow cables are connected right.

Also I was wondering how did you guys make the settings menu in dark mode, i tried to force it through developer mode but that did not do nothing.

I received a MCU update from Junsun to fix my sleep issue if anyone is interested
    MCU before : MCU: TS-G5.201021(VHD)
    After : MCU: SS-G5.230529(VHD)

    Untested but may work:

Put the logo on the root folder of an USB drive by naming it
    Code:
    tslogo.bmp
    tslogo.jpg
    or
    tslogo.png

Enter factory code 5678 and plug in the USB drive.
Thank you. Succeeded, I copied the image to the USB Drive root folder. The correct size is 1280x720 and can be .BMP or .PNG format, the file name can be anything.
