The firmware you are trying to flash is not for the device in this thread.
you need firmware that is for 8259P (ex 8259P_军灿UI02v1280x720-国外11_v3_20220422, see this thread for download links)
sorry and true mine is 825x_pro 8 - 128, but I understand that the update procedure is the same for all ?.

I have a 825x pro 6gb 128 on my bmw e90 without any original display.
Is this update ok for my unit?
The resolution or how the apps are drawing it's not ok because at the bottom on the screen the buttons for example for youtube it does not show correctly. If anybody now if an update will fix it, or if there is an option to configure it, i would appreciate it. Thank you!

I have updated my device with this 1280x720 firmware and now the image is completely streched.
So I need the firmware for the 1920x720 devices.
Unless you know how to change this in settings? I have not found any option to change it...
I also have another question:
I bought the device and it was advertised to have wireless CarPlay.
After lots of communication with the seller, it turned out that I first had to ‘enable’ the Autolink app in the ‘8878 factory settings’ > ‘other’ menu. This wasn’t very difficult.
I then had to activate the Autolink app by entering an activation code.
I managed to do all of that, but wireless CarPlay did not work.
The Autolink app gives the following error:
“Err: no mfi chip”
Following communication with seller it turns out my device does not have the required chipset soldered on the device’ motherboard.
They offered to send me the chip so I can solder it myself.
I neither have the tools nor the expertise to do that, so I declined that offer.
Then they said I could still use wired CarPlay.
But the problem is the app needed to do that (PhoneLink) is nowhere to be found on the device anymore. It somehow disappeared after I had enabled the Autolink app. And I remember it hadn’t worked either before I tried to get the wireless Autolink CarPlay to work.
I’m pretty clueless on what to do now? The primary reason for buying this device was to use CarPlay (wireless or wired -I don’t really care)…
This is why I was looking for the firmware update hoping it could maybe be the solution for my problem.
Should I return the device?
Any ideas or help are very welcome!

Check file /vendor/build.prop and replace all entries with 1280 (I think there are two) with 1920.

Install Remote Adb Shell from Google PlayStore on your smartphone.
1. Connect your head unit to wifi hotspot of your phone
2. Get the IP address of your head unit in wifi settings of your head unit
3. Connect to IP adress via Remote Adb Shell
4. Enter command to get su rights:
5. Enter command to get readable /system and /vendor partition:
This will kill your adb session - just reconnect.
6. Further steps depending on what you want to do. Be careful.
A.1 Copy /vendor/build.prop to Download folder:
Now you can edit the file with an editor of your choice. I use editor of MiXplorer.
A.2 Overwrite /vendor/build.prop

I tried to install the latest firmware, but it didn't work. Now I am not able to use the radio any more, the screen is blocked with my car's logo.
I have tried to install different versions, but it says: "Failed, check USB and files" .
Is there a way to go to recovery mode and install the full android version??

Please try with another USB device first. Take an old USB stick with less capacity or a SD card reader with USB plug.
I've tried 3 different USB devices, also with different files, all of them formatted FAT32. I am a bit desperate....

For the autostart you could set FlowStarter.apk as navigation software in the head units settings. In factory settings (code 8878, section Others) is an option available to autostart navigation software.The status bar is not visible in Waze so I use Floating clock app to see the current time. I've tried few auto start apps from the store and they did not worked, with the new firmware it worked once when I've posted but not anymore I just want to autostart Waze and Floating Clock, not too much I can take some shots tomorrow.
FlowStarter.apk can start Automate flows. And you could create a simple flow which starts all apps you need.
Use SWC to switch between Navi and Radio
Attached app FlowStarter.apk allows to start...
