So long and short had issues with my xl from Verizon with the finger print scanner finally said I'm over this and got it replaced under warranty. Now for some background I decided to ditch Verizon and go with project fi so I cancelled paid my device off early term fees etc because well that's what you do.
Verizon decided since I don't have service they don't have to honor my warranty. I'll stay brief here but I'm already exploring my options.
Anyways Google was nice enough and willing to honor my warranty and I just got my 32 gb Pixel XL replaced and I'm typing from the new one as I speak. How can I tell if it's the Google version or the locked down Verizon version? I want to play with unlocking it but not if it's gonna risk bricking the phone.
